The Hagakure contains many of the sayings of Sengoku-period retainer Nabeshima Naoshige ( 1537 – 1619 ) regarding Bushidō related philosophy early in the 18th century by Yamamoto Tsunetomo ( 1659 – 1719 ), a former retainer to Naoshige's grandson, Nabeshima Mitsushige.

Count Yamamoto served as Prime Minister in 1913 – 14.

Yamamoto was recalled to government as Prime Minister again in the emergency crisis " earthquake cabinet " ( 1923 – 24 ) following the Great Kantō Earthquake.

Promoted to full general in 1920, he served as War Minister under Prime Ministers Hara Takashi ( 1918 – 21 ) and the 2nd Yamamoto administrations ( 1923 – 24 ), during which time he backed the Siberian Intervention.

Yamamoto was succeeded by Admiral Mineichi Koga ( 1943 – 44 ) and Admiral Soemu Toyoda ( 1944 – 45 )..

Kurosawa's essay earned him a call to take the follow-up exams, and director Kajirō Yamamoto, who was among the examiners, took a liking to Kurosawa and insisted that the studio hire him.

During his five years as an assistant director, Kurosawa worked under numerous directors, but by far the most important figure in his development was Kajiro Yamamoto.

Of his 24 films as A. D., he worked on 17 under Yamamoto, many of them comedies featuring the popular actor Kenichi Enomoto, known as " Enoken.

In the last of Kurosawa's films as an assistant director, Horse ( Uma, 1941 ), Kurosawa took over most of the production, as Yamamoto was occupied with the shooting of another film.

One important piece of advice Yamamoto gave Kurosawa was that a good director needed to master screenwriting.

Reinhard Heydrich was killed after an attack by British trained Czechoslovak soldiers on behalf of the Czechoslovak government in exile in Operation Anthropoid, and knowledge from decoded transmissions allowed the U. S. to carry out a targeted attack, killing Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto while he was travelling by plane.

In 1976, Bob Hall, a journalist at Motor Trend magazine who was an expert in Japanese cars and fluent in the language, met Kenichi Yamamoto and Gai Arai, head of Research and Development at Mazda.

In 1981, Hall moved to a product planning position with Mazda USA and again met Yamamoto, now chairman of Mazda Motors, who remembered their conversation about a roadster and in 1982 gave Hall the go-ahead to research the idea further.

Kakuma is a town is located in Turkana District, in the northwestern region of Kenya.

Kakuma is said to be a Swahili word for nowhere, epitomizing the seclusion of the area.

The town has hosted the Kakuma Refugee Camp since 1992.

Living in Kakuma as a refugee is a very difficult experience.

Many of the refugees hope to leave Kakuma for resettlement in another country such as the USA.

The Kakuma Refugee Camp was the location of a large project from 1995 to 2002 sponsored by Solar Cookers International through which thousands of families began using solar panel cookers to cook their daily meals.
