Zygmunt Wojciechowski ( 27 April 1900 – 14 October 1955 ) was a Polish historian

Zygmunt Wojciechowski died in Poznań, Poland, he was the father of historian Marian Wojciechowski ( 1927 – 2006 ).

In Poland Zygmunt Wojciechowski is recognised today as exceptional historian, and one of people who formed Polish intellectual elites.

Its professors were famous across Europe, with such renowned names as Wladyslaw Abraham, Oswald Balzer, Szymon Askenazy, Stanislaw Zakrzewski, Zygmunt Janiszewski, Kazimierz Twardowski, Benedykt Dybowski, Marian Smoluchowski and Ludwik Rydygier.

A memorial to the victims of the Katyn Massacre was unveiled by Stefan Staniszewski, whose father Hillary Zygmunt Staniszewski ( a high court judge ) died in the massacre.

In 1569 he also joined the Polish royal chancery and as a secretary served two kings, Zygmunt August and Stefan Batory, and was successively appointed bishop of Kamieniec Podolski ( 1586 ), Chełm ( 1590 ), Przemyśl ( 1591 ), and Poznań ( 1601 ).

A great number of prominent scientists have conducted research at the Faculty of Medicine, including Professors Ludwik Hirszfeld, Zygmunt Albert, Edward Szczeklik, Witold Orłowski, Stefan Ślopek and Hugon and Zofia Kowarzyk.

Among the notable artists who used the Warsaw dialect in their books, songs and poems are Hanka Bielicka, Wiktor Gomulicki, Stanisław Grzesiuk, Alina Janowska, Irena Kwiatkowska, Zygmunt Staszczyk, Stanisław Staszewski, Jarema Stępowski, Stefan Wiechecki and Stasiek Wielanek.

Zygmunt Jan Kisielewski ( 27 March 1882 – 25 April 1942 ) was a Polish writer, brother of Jan August and father of Stefan.

It was a brainchild of Zygmunt Janiszewski and founded in 1920 by the Polish mathematicians Wacław Sierpiński, Stefan Mazurkiewicz, and Janiszewski, and published in Warsaw.

They had four children together: Elżbieta Zamoyska, Stefan Adam Zamoyski, Andrzej Zygmunt Zamoyski and Zdzisław Franciszek Zamoyski.

They had five children together: Adam Zdzisław Zamoyski, Władysław Zdzisław Zamoyski, Zygmunt Zamoyski, Zofia Zamoyska, Katarzyna Zamoyska and Wanda Zamoyska

Albert became Duke of Prussia after paying feudal homage to the King of Poland, Zygmunt August ( Ducal Prussia was a fief of Poland ), on July 19, 1569 in Lublin.

Karłowicz studied at Warsaw with Zygmunt Noskowski, Piotr Maszyński and Gustaw Roguski.
