* Krypto appeared as a simple puppy on Krypton in the first episode of the 1990s Superman: The Animated Series, " The Last Son of Krypton: Part 1 ", although he is not named. Also of note, in the Superman animated series episode " Bizarro's World ", Bizarro enters the Fortress of Solitude and releases a number of alien animals kept there, including a violent reptilian creature which Bizarro considers to be his " Krypto ", and both became fond of each other.

Bizarro # 1 created this doppelganger of Brainiac to live on Bizarro World.

However, Mxyzptlk saves some of the Joker's creations and transfers them into the ' real ' world, including Scorch, Gorgeous Gilly, the new Bizarro and " Ignition ", a black-armored villain who first appeared in the Emperor Joker story but was created by someone else ( exactly who has never been revealed ).

While the comic relied mostly on the cast from the animated series, there were a few characters who only appeared in the comic, such as General Zod, Brad Wilson ( from Superman III ), Bizarro Lois Lane, Krypto, and Sandman ( from " The Sandman Saga ").

Having discovered Kal-El's spaceship and using DNA samples from it to create numerous Bizarro clones, Luthor grafted Kryptonian DNA onto Jimmy, the only such ' graft ' that appeared successful, as other subjects either died instantly or mutated before death.

Scream is similar in concept with Medusa at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and is a mirror image of Bizarro at Six Flags Great Adventure.

Development of the Floorless Coaster began between 1995 and 1996 with Medusa ( now known as Bizarro ) at Six Flags Great Adventure opening on April 2, 1999, making it the world's first Floorless Coaster.

Remaining in DC Comics continuity, Bizarro continued to make semi-regular guest appearances that firmly established the character as part of the Superman mythos.

In the Bizarro Comics anthology, Mxyzptlk's native 5th Dimension seemed to include beings similar to Bat-Mite and Johnny Thunder's Thunderbolt.

The Batman Beyond concept became DC Comics canon in the pages of Superman / Batman issues 22 and 23, wherein Bizarro is transported to an alternate reality somewhere in Hypertime which resembled the Batman Beyond-era Gotham City, with Batman Beyond in action with the 1999 animated black-and-red costume and the 1992 Batplane from the original animated series.

On a different note, issue # 22 of DC Comics ' Superman / Batman series, which explores alternate realities, had Bizarro transported to an alternate version of Gotham City patrolled by a Batman using the Batman Beyond version of the costume.

In May 2001 the story was reprinted in the Bizarro Comics hardcover ( ISBN 1-56389-779-2 ).

In April 2003 a softcover edition of Bizarro Comics ( ISBN 1-56389-958-2 ) followed.

The concept of " Bizarro " has been ingrained in popular culture where it has come to mean a weirdly mutilated version of anything, not confined to characters in DC Comics publications and as such, so has the concept of Bizarro World.
