Chic's was formed by Nile Rodgers a self described " street hippie " from late 1960s New York and Martin Dow DJ at from Key West, Florida who pioneered the NYC sound across that state.

Co-produced by Chic's Nile Rodgers, the album went platinum in both the UK and the US.

Making prominent use of electronic instruments, the album, which reunited Bowie with Let's Dance producer Nile Rodgers, confirmed Bowie's return to popularity, hitting the number one spot on the UK charts and spawning three top 40 hits, including the top 10 song " Jump They Say ".

The first significant post-Led Zeppelin project was The Honeydrippers, formed in 1981 by Robert Plant and featuring Jimmy Page on lead guitar, along with studio musicians and friends of Plant and Page, including Jeff Beck, Paul Shaffer, and Nile Rodgers.

The Battle of the Nile has been called " arguably, the most decisive naval engagement of the great age of sail ", and " the most splendid and glorious success which the British Navy gained.

It included later mainstays such as " Frog and toad — the main road " and " Apples and pears — stairs " as well as many that later grew more obscure, e. g. " Battle of the Nile — a tile ( vulgar term for a hat )", " Duke of York — take a walk ", and " Top of Rome — home ".

But on the strength of containing an alternate mix of his most popular single " Egypt, Egypt ", 1984's On the Nile was moderately successful.

Ancient Egyptian texts dating from 2750 BC referred to these fish as the " Thunderer of the Nile ", and described them as the " protectors " of all other fish.

The Ankh ( or ; U + 2625 ☥ or U + 132F9 ), also known as key of life, the key of the Nile or crux ansata ( Latin meaning " cross with a handle "), was the ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic character that read " life ", a triliteral sign for the consonants ꜥ-n-ḫ.

Stories included the half-fabulous Christian Empire of " Prester John ", the kingdom of the White Queen on the " Western Nile " ( Sénégal River ), the Fountain of Youth, cities of Gold in North and South America such as Quivira, Zuni-Cibola Complex, and El Dorado, and wonderful kingdoms of the Ten Lost Tribes and women named Amazons.
