The AGM-88 High-speed Anti-Radiation Missile ( HARM ) is a tactical, air-to-surface missile designed to home in on electronic transmissions coming from surface-to-air radar systems.

These aircraft, equipped with the LANTIRN navigation and targeting pod as well as AIM-120 AMRAAM and AGM-88 HARM missiles, were allocated to the 341 " Aces " and 347 " Perseus " squadrons in Nea Anchialos airforce base.

The weapons most often associated with this mission are anti-radiation missiles ( ARMs ) such as the American AGM-88 HARM and British ALARM.

The RAF Tornados rely on the aforementioned ALARM missile and the Italian / German Tornado ECRs employ the AGM-88 HARM missile.

* Notes: The two wingtips missile launcher rail for AIM-9 Sidewinder, found on the E / F Super Hornet, have been replaced with AN / ALQ-218 detection pods, six removable under wing mounted hard points ( inboard pylons will carry 480 gal fuel tanks, mid-board pylons will carry AN / ALQ-99 High Band Jamming Pods, and outboard pylon reserved for AGM-88 HARM missiles ), two multi-mode conformal fuselage stations ( AIM-120 AMRAAM ), 1 centerline fuselage removable hardpoint, for AN / ALQ-99 Low Band Jamming Pod.

The first Harpoons, Tomahawks, and AGM-88 HARM missiles all debuted on the navy's ships.

The Air Force introduced HARM on the F-4G Wild Weasel and later on specialized F-16s equipped with the HARM Targeting System ( HTS ).

SEAD and ELINT aircraft often have sensitive and sophisticated RWR equipment like the U. S. HTS ( HARM targeting system ) pod which is able to find and classify threats which are much further away than those detected by a typical RWR, and may be able to overlay threat circles on a map in the aircraft's multi-function display ( MFD ), providing much better information for avoiding or engaging threats, and may even store information to be analyzed later or transmitted to the ground to help the commanders plan future missions.

HARM was used extensively by the United States Navy and the United States Air Force for Operation Desert Storm during the Gulf War of 1991.

HARM, a Navy-led program, was initially integrated onto the A-6E, A-7 and F / A-18 and later onto the EA-6B.
