Solidarity Electoral Action (, AWS ) was a political party coalition in Poland.

Ruch Społeczny AWS ( RS AWS ), or Social Movement for Solidarity Electoral Action, was the political arm of the Solidarity trade union and was formerly the leading party within AWS.

In 1997 the coalition was joined by RS AWS, and by the Freedom Union.

It also claims that once the AWS was in government, it organised an advertising campaign for the Polish government in order to stop the AWS splitting up over internal tensions:

By 2001 the number of parties in the alliance was reduced to three, including RS AWS.

AWS formed a minority government under Jerzy Buzek, and the coalition was renamed AWSP ( Akcja Wyborcza Solidarność Prawicy-" Solidarity of the Right " Electoral Action ), while RS AWS became simply RS.

However by 15 November, when the AWS was integrated into the new 5th Interceptor Command, plans for the fixed-location radar sites were only five percent complete and no date to begin construction had been set.

Marian Krzaklewski was the leader of the AWS, and Leszek Miller led the SLD.

It is thought that the opposition campaign was hindered by their inability to put forward a charismatic ( or even a single major ) candidate, as well as falling support for the centre-right AWS government.

The next product was a cost-reduced desktop version called the AWS ( Advanced Workstation ).

Supplanting the IWS was the AWS ( Advanced Workstation ) which itself was replaced by the NGEN ( New or Next Generation ) workstation and used by Prime Computer as a word processing workstation ; The " Prime Producer 100 ".

It was formed from part of the Solidarity Electoral Action ( AWS ), with the Christian democratic Centre Agreement forming the new party's core.

The AWS itself was created from a diverse array of many small right-wing political parties.

Tusk was elected to the Senate in the next election in 1997, with his UW party supporting the Solidarity ( AWS ) government of Jerzy Buzek.

Jerzy Buzek was a member of the Solidarity Electoral Action ( AWS ) and co-author of the AWS's economic program.

Between the years 1997 – 2001 he was the Prime Minister of Poland, first of the right-centrist AWS – Freedom Union coalition government until 2001, and then of the rightist AWS minority government.

Recognising the drawbacks of the downloadable WP workstation, Prime formed an agreement with Convergent Technologies for their AWS which Prime named the " Prime Producer 100 " ( launched in mid 1983 ) and later for Convergent's modular NGEN, clip together system, the " Prime Producer 200 " ( launched in 1984 ), each of which had far superior WP to the initial Prime offering, and were document based.

A political arm founded in 1996 as Solidarity Electoral Action ( AWS

With the party in disarray and the previous parliament's AWS / Solidarity coalition breaking apart, Tusk, Andrzej Olechowski, and Maciej Plazynski founded Civic Platform ( PO ), taking many party members with him.

Piesiewicz's career in electoral politics began in 1989, when he began working in the Social Movement for Solidarity Electoral Action ( RS AWS ) party, originally the political wing of the Solidarity union and the leading party in the center-right AWS coalition.

In 1999 he became the chairman of the AWS Social Movement ( Ruch Społeczny AWS ) and in 2001 he became the Chairman of the Solidarity Electoral Action coalition.

The IRI claims credit for having united and organised a diverse range of " center and center right-wing " political parties together to create the Solidarity Electoral Action ( AWS ), which was in government in Poland, together with its coalition partner the Freedom Union ( UW ) party, from 1997 to 2001.

The 2001 election is recognized as marking the emergence of both Civic Platform ( PO ) and Law and Justice ( PiS ) as players in Polish politics, while also witnessing the outright collapse of the Solidarity Electoral Action ( AWS ) and its former coalition partner, the Freedom Union ( UW ).

In May 2000, the AWS ' junior coalition partner, the Freedom Union, walked out of the government regarding the party's objections to the slow pace of reform, forcing Buzek to set-up a relatively weak minority government in its place .. Later in July 2001, Buzek's government was again hit by three further ministerial resignations over corruption charges, while the government's reform program for pensions and health care grounded to a halt in the Sejm.

In late 2004, AWS and other organizations announced plans to sue the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission ( WSSC ) over similar problems with river contamination from the Maryland suburbs.

It also claims that once the AWS was in government, it organised an advertising campaign for the Polish government in order to stop the AWS splitting up over internal tensions:

The action of the signalman in giving the freight train precedence over the HST with the faulty AWS has been criticised.

From approximately 1995 until the end of 2009, WIVB built and operated a large network of over eighty AWS / WeatherBug weather stations ( under the name " Neighborhood WeatherNet "), mostly on local school buildings.

In the previous presidential election in 2000, the SLD's Aleksander Kwaśniewski achieved a landslide reelection over AWS candidate Marian Krzaklewski.

The International Republican Institute, a US federal government funded organisation loosely associated with the United States Republican Party, claims credit for having played a major role in uniting the different political parties which came together to create the AWS.

In light of Buzek's besieged administration, opposition parties took advantage of AWS ' organisational and economic weaknesses.

Both parties failed to secure the 8 % threshold to enter the Sejm, with AWS and UW falling to 5. 6 % and 3. 1 %, respectively.

The party's founding members and leadership are mostly from the ranks of the defunct party Solidarity Electoral Action ( AWS ), which held the government between 1997 and 2001, and other conservative to centrist groups, with some coming from he more liberal Freedom Union ( UW ).

From 1997 to 2001, he was a Sejm member for the conservative party Christian-National Union ( ZChN ), which at that time was part of the Solidarity Electoral Action party ( AWS ).

Further down the right, the Law and Justice party ( PiS ), composed of AWS ' more conservative and anti-communist adherents, campaigned on promises of tough anti-corruption and organised crime legislation.

Jerzy Buzek of RS AWS became Prime Minister of Poland.

It claims to have provided training in political campaigning, communications training and research which helped organise and create the AWS.

The AWS received seven SCR-270 mobile units but only two were operating on 8 December: one in full operation at Iba, Zambales, and a Marine Corps unit training at Nasugbu, Batangas.

Some lines of the breed still retain dominant and aggressive temperaments ; other than these lines, the AWS gets on well with children and enjoys playing with them.

Pack breeding early in its development led to a level of genetic variation, so the hereditary conditions of more popular breeds are not common in the AWS.
