Acequia ( pronounced ah-SEE-kwa ) is a city in Minidoka County, Idaho, United States.

Acequia is located at ( 42. 668387 ,-113. 595046 ).

Acequia is about 5 miles ( 8. 3 kilometers ) northeast of Rupert on State Highway 24.

Acequia is served by the Minidoka County Schools system.

Acequia lies about northeast of Rupert and Paul is about the same distance to the west.

However, from the 19th century to the first decades of the 20th, Iztacalco had a number of canals crisscrossing it, the main one being Canal de la Viga, earlier known as the Acequia Real.

Known among water users simply as the Acequia, various legal entities embody the community associations, or acequia associations, that govern members ' water usage, depending on local precedents and traditions.

Acequia water law also requires that all persons with irrigation rights participate in the annual maintenance of the community ditch including the annual spring time ditch cleanup known as the limpieza y saca de acequia.

The Espada Acequia, or Piedras Creek Aqueduct, was built by Franciscan friars in 1731 in what is now San Antonio, Texas, United States.

The Mission Espada Acequia ( aqueduct ) can still be seen today.

This Convention allotted to Mexico * ( 74, 000, 000 m³ ) annually of the waters of the Rio Grande to be delivered in accordance with a monthly schedule at the headgate to Mexico's Acequia Madre just above Ciudad Juárez.

Acequia is a method of collective responsibility and management for irrigation systems in desert areas.

In New Mexico, a community-run organization known as Acequia Associations supervises water in terms of diversion, distribution, utilization, and recycling, in order to reinforce agricultural traditions and preserve water as a common resource for future generations.

Once the roots have reached the reservoir below, there is not a huge advantage with Bubbleponics over Deep Water Culture.
