Air Botswana Holdings was responsible for the ownership and leasing of aircraft, and served as the holding company for Air Botswana.

During the early formative years, Air Botswana ( Pty.

) Limited acted as a contractor for numerous flight services, which were contracted to South African Protea Airways, via a local Batswana subsidiary, Air Services Botswana.
