The water leaves Lake Ohrid by evaporation (~ 40 %) and through its only outlet, the Black Drin River, which flows in a northerly direction into Albania and thus to the Adriatic Sea.
Unfortunately, like in many European lakes, it is very unlikely today that eels can reach Lake Ohrid naturally and return to the Sargasso Sea, as a result of several hydropower dams on the Black Drin and the Drin River, both in Macedonia and Albania.

Albania and Sea

Albania and Cooperation
Albania is a member of more than 48 different international organizations including the United Nations, the Council of Europe, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation., the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the International Monetary Fund, the World Trade Organization and La Francophonie.

Today Albania is the only entirely European member of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.
However, Albania shunned the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe and was the only European country ( with the exception of Andorra ) that refused to take part in the Helsinki Conference of July 1975.

Albania and Pact
Under this policy, Albania would develop its agricultural output in order to supply the Soviet Union and other Warsaw Pact nations while these nations would be developing specific resource outputs of their own, which would in theory strengthen the Warsaw Pact by greatly reducing the lack of certain resources that many of the nations faced.
The other Warsaw Pact regimes fell in 1989 with the exception of the Socialist People's Republic of Albania that continued until 1992.
