Alessandro di Cristofano di Lorenzo del Bronzino Allori ( 31 May 1535 – 22 September 1607 ) was an Italian portrait painter of the late Mannerist Florentine school.

Pope Leo XI ( 2 June 1535 – 27 April 1605 ), born Alessandro Ottaviano de ' Medici, was Pope from 1 April 1605 to 27 April of the same year.

He was also in the service of Alessandro de Medici, first duke of Florence, for whom he made in 1535 a forty-soldi piece with a bust of the duke on one side and standing figures of the saints Cosima and Damian on the other.

Giulia Romola di Alessandro de ' Medici ( c. 1535 – c. 1588 ) was the illegitimate, possibly biracial, daughter of Alessandro de ' Medici, Duke of Florence and his mistress Taddea Malaspina.

Pietro Sforza Pallavicino ( or Pallavicini ) ( 1607, Rome-June 5, 1667, Rome ), Italian cardinal and historian, son of the Marquis Alessandro Pallavicino of Parma.

The nickname was used in concert programmes in the 19th Century ( see Performances section below ), and was also used by publishers including Muzio Clementi, Carl Czerny and Alessandro Longo.

Alessandro Guidi, although he does not attain to the exaggeration of his master, is bombastic and turgid, while Fulvio Testi is artificial and affected.
