For open wheel racing, 1967's revolutionary STP-Paxton Turbocar fielded by racing and entrepreneurial legend Andy Granatelli and driven by Parnelli Jones nearly won the Indianapolis 500 ; the Pratt & Whitney ST6B-62 powered turbine car was almost a lap ahead of the second place car when a gearbox bearing failed just three laps from the finish line.

Chilton, aided by drummer Richard Rosebrough and at times by bassist Danny Jones, completed the recording of " Mod Lang ", " She's a Mover ", and " What's Going Ahn " without Jody Stephens or Andy Hummel.

Vale were promoted back to the third tier in 1985 – 86, losing just once at Vale Park they finished in fourth spot, helped by the goals of prolific Welshman Andy Jones.

Additional gigs were added in the UK, and at one of these, Geoff Mann's son James was invited by Andy Sears to accompany him on Love Song.

The Chairman of Selectors Geoff Miller, head coach ( Andy Flower ) and other coaches are ECB employees.

He came to prominence playing Opie Taylor in the sitcom The Andy Griffith Show for eight years, and later the teenaged Richie Cunningham in the sitcom Happy Days for six years.

In 1960, Howard was cast as Opie Taylor in The Andy Griffith Show, a spin-off of The Danny Thomas Show.

Howard's last significant on-screen role was a reprisal of his famous role as Opie Taylor in the 1986 TV movie Return to Mayberry, an Andy Griffith Show reunion reuniting him with Griffith, Don Knotts, and most of the cast.

On the 20th anniversary of the disaster, government minister Andy Burnham called for the police, ambulance, and all other public bodies to release documents which had not been made available to Taylor in 1989.

Although, numerically, Griffith appeared in more episodes portraying Sheriff Andy Taylor in The Andy Griffith Show, he logged more on-screen time as Ben Matlock due to the length of each show.

Christopher left the New York stage for Hollywood to attempt to gain work in television, where he guest-starred in several well-known series, including: The Andy Griffith Show ( he portrayed a new, young doctor scheduling Opie Taylor for a tonsillectomy ) and also as an IRS agent who came to collect taxes due from Aunt Bee ( who had won some prizes on a TV show ), Death Valley Days, The Patty Duke Show, The Men from Shiloh and Good Times ( he portrayed the military doctor examining J. J. Evans ).

On the TV program, The Andy Griffith Show, it is said in the episode The Battle of Mayberry, that the town of Mayberry was almost named Taylortown in honor of Colonel Carleton Taylor, who was one of the first settlers in the area.

In the 1960s, he was the founder of John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, a band which has included Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce, Peter Green, John McVie, Mick Fleetwood, Mick Taylor, Don " Sugarcane " Harris, Harvey Mandel, Larry Taylor, Aynsley Dunbar, Hughie Flint, Jon Hiseman, Dick Heckstall-Smith, Andy Fraser, Johnny Almond, Walter Trout, Coco Montoya and Buddy Whittington.

Andy Gillespie was unable to appear at all the gigs, and Mark Taylor returned to cover for him on several occasions.

Other performing writers in the robust literary scene of the Austin area during that time when performance poetry turned into a school of poetry included Pat Littledog, Eleanor Crockett, Jim Ryan, Chuck Taylor, Greg Gauntner, Albert Huffstickler, W. Joe Hoppe, Andy Clausen, Isabella Ides and David Jewell ( poet ); most recorded on Hedwig Gorski's audio anthology project.

The three also dyed their hair black, as seen when they performed ( as Duran Duran, with Andy and John Taylor ) at the 1985 Live Aid concert in Philadelphia.

Following the departures of Roger Taylor and Andy Taylor, Le Bon, Rhodes and John Taylor continued on as Duran Duran, recording and releasing Notorious ( 1986 ) and Big Thing ( 1988 ).
