Antis Township is a township in Blair County, Pennsylvania, United States.

The Borough of Bellwood is surrounded by the Township of Antis.

Antis is a collective term for the many varied ethnic groups living in the Antisuyu such as, for example, the Pano or the Campa.

Antis ' first comeback took place in 1996 when they performed three big concerts in major Lithuanian cities.

Zona's work with local performers included releases from the most famous Lithuanian rock bands Antis and BIX, Russian cult bands Va Bank and Avia, as well as several compilations of young Baltic and Eastern European alternative artists.

The subsequent publicity turned Antis into a national sensation and they became known as one of the best rock bands in the whole of the former Soviet Union.

But the real hour of glory struck for Antis after they played in rock festival Lituanica 86.

Antis was a politically motivated band that played proscribed music in several styles including ska.

This includes the adjacent boroughs of: Hollidaysburg and Duncansville, adjacent townships of: Logan, Allegheny, Blair, Frankstown, Antis, and Tyrone, as well as nearby boroughs of: Bellwood and Newry.

Edward Bell's son, one Martin Bell, founded the Sabbath Rest Foundry located in Antis Township ( Pinecroft ) so-called because he invented a new way to stoke the fires and leave them burn Sunday without having any person attend to them.

In 1990, they beat Bellwood Antis 54-40 to capture their second title.

Two factions developed in Jacksonville that eventually became the major statewide camps, the Antis and the Straightouts.

The Antis were conservative and pro-business, whereas the Straightouts were Populists and agrarians ; Broward fell in with the Straightout camp.

The Antis were not dead yet, though ; two years later, the split between the two camps was more severe.

Antis and Straightouts accused each other of vote fraud, complaining to the secretary of state and the governor ; Anti sympathizers held most of the state offices, and the Antis won out.

Broward was removed from office and Antis again took over the city.

The reunited Nacionalista Party dominated the political scene until the second break-up when the members polarized into Pros and Antis in 1934.

Also, songs such as " The Anti-Confederation Song " and " The Antis of Plate Cove " were popular at the time.

Algirdas ‘ Pablo ’ Kaušpėdas founded Antis in 1984 as a joke to entertain attendees at a New Year party that he organised for the architects ' union in Kaunas.

Antis was invited to play at the semi-underground festival at Vilnius University and at similar events.

Antis grew to such popularity that their audiences numbered hundreds of thousands.

Early Antis was heavily influenced by Talking Heads.

At the end of 1986 Antis recorded their eponymous debut album at Melodya's Vilnius studio.

Those songs with some selected numbers from the Warsaw session appeared as Anties Dovanėlė ( Antis ' Present ) in 1989.

In 1994 Zona / BMK released two Antis MCs.

The EP Bjaurioji Antis ( Ugly Antis ) included the earliest amateur recordings from Kaunas, before the arrival of the horns.
