The story is related in several digressions in the Iliad ( 7. 451-453, 20. 145-148, 21. 442-457 ) and is found in Apollodorus ' Bibliotheke ( 2. 5. 9 ).

Library and Sir
The Cottonian Library, assembled by Sir Robert Cotton, dated back to Elizabethan times and the Harleian library, the collection of the Earls of Oxford.
