To mark the end of production on the series Mr and Mrs Fisher ( Hannah Weinstein and her new husband John Fisher ) and Richard Greene threw a final wrap party at The High Pine Club on 10 December 1958, cast members Alexander Gauge, Archie Duncan, Patricia Driscoll with husband Duncan Lamont, Paul Eddington, both Sheriffs Alan Wheatley and John Arnatt attended.

The main document was a personal letter from " Archie Nye " ( Lt. Gen. Sir Archibald Nye, Vice Chief of the Imperial General Staff ) to " My dear Alex " ( General Sir Harold Alexander, commander of 18th Army Group in Algeria and Tunisia ).

He worked with Bob Bryden's Louisville Band for a time in 1928-9, and with pianist Archie Alexander in Brighton, then joined the Billy Cotton band at the end of 1929, a move which provided him with a more prominent platform, both on the concert stage and also on radio, and allowed him to record his first jazz solos and vocal features ( which included scat singing ).

According to a May 2008 posting on The Comics Journal's website, the second effort " resulted in waves of lawyers raining upon the strip ’ s creators, ultimately leading to Kurtzman and Elder handing the copyright to the story over to Archie and signing an agreement promising never to reproduce it again.
