:: Example 4 ( parliamentary republic ): According to Article 53 ( 1 ) of the Constitution of India:

The Constitution envisages a scheme of affairs in which the President of India is the head of the executive in terms of Article 53 with office of the Prime Minister as heading the Council of Ministers to assist and advise the President in the discharge of the executive power.

To quote, Article 53 and 74 provide as under ;

" Article 53.

They are elected on basis of proportional representation ( Article 53 ) and by a secret ballot ( Subarticle 2 ).

Although Article 53 of the Constitution of India states that the President can exercise his or her powers directly or by subordinate authority, with few exceptions all of the executive authorities vested in the President are in practice exercised by the Council of Ministers, headed by the Prime Minister.

The official response cited Article 53 of the 1982 Constitution, which states that citizens must abide by the law and observe labor discipline and public order.

However, the UN policy on military intervention by regional arrangements in UN Article 53 states the Security Council can, where appropriate, utilize such regional arrangements or agencies for enforcement action under its authority.

The acting and succession line is spelled out in Article 53.

* Article 53 allowed the President to appoint the Chancellor.

Schleicher ′ s idea was to have Hindenburg use his powers under Article 53 to appoint a man of Schleicher ′ s choosing as chancellor, who would rule under the provisions of Article 48.

Under Article 53 of the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties, any treaty that conflicts with a peremptory norm is void.

Under Article 53 of the Free State constitution the role of the Vice President was to " act for all purposes in the place of the President ", until the appointment of a successor in the event of his death, resignation or " permanent incapacity ", or until his return in the event of his " temporary absence ".

The executive power is vested on mainly the President of India by Article 53 ( 1 ) of the constitution.

The President enjoys all constitutional powers and exercises them directly or through officers subordinate to him as per the aforesaid Article 53 ( 1 ). The President is to act in accordance with aid and advise tendered by the head of government ( Prime Minister of India ) and his or her Council of Ministers ( the cabinet ) as described in Article 74 ( Constitution of India ).

Article 53 states the treaty is in force for an unlimited period, article 54 deals with ratification and 55 with the different language versions of the treaties.

Police actions are authorised specifically by the Security Council under Article 53 ( for regional action ) or Article 42 ( for global action ).

FIBA has recognized IWBF under Article 53 of its General Statutes.

Article 53 of the Regulations respecting the Laws and Customs of War on Land, annexed to the Hague Convention of 1899 on the same subject, provides that railway plant, land telegraphs, telephones, steamers and other ships ( other than such as are governed by maritime law ), though belonging to companies or private persons, may be used for military operations, but " must be restored at the conclusion of peace and indemnities paid for them.

Article 53 gives the provisions for an acting Chief Executive.

The second section of Article 53 gives provisions for a new election.

* Article 4 – The treaty does not recognize, dispute, nor establish territorial sovereignty claims ; no new claims shall be asserted while the treaty is in force ;

Article Four also provides for the admission of new states and the changing of state boundaries.

One of the arguments the Federalists gave against the addition of a Bill of Rights, during the debates about ratification of the Constitution, was that a listing of rights could problematically enlarge the powers specified in Article One, Section 8 of the new Constitution by implication.

The criteria for admission of new members are set out in the United Nations Charter, Chapter II, Article 4, as follows:

The question of “ using ″ Article 146 to draw a new constitution, and hold a referendum, was left to the twelfth ( and first all-German ) Bundestag, who after considering the question decided against a new draft.

For example, affirmative action was allowed in women's rights, and environmental protection was made a policy objective of the state in the new Article 20a.

Via that document's ( then-existing ) Article 23, any new Länder ( German federative states ), could adhere to the Basic Law by a simple majority vote.

' Article 68 of the Constitution of South Korea requires the acting president to hold new elections within 60 days.

Since this " new law " had not been directed by the Florida legislature, it violated Article II.

In 2005 the government of Premier Jean Charest decided not to renew the clause, abrogate Article 5 of the Public Education Act, modify Article 41 of the Quebec Charter of Rights and then eliminate the choice in moral and religious instruction that existed previously and, finally, impose a controversial new Ethics and religious culture curriculum to all schools, even the private ones.

A new article, Article 300-A, was added to the constitution which provided that " no person shall be deprived of his property save by authority of law ".
