The sound itself was heard during a segment of the 2012 Summer Olympics opening ceremony in London as rock band Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody was played to the stadium.

Queen's popularity was stimulated in the United States when " Bohemian Rhapsody " was featured in the 1992 comedy film Wayne's World.

Wayne's World footage was used to make a new music video for " Bohemian Rhapsody ", with which the band and management were delighted.

On 15 November 2009, May and Taylor performed " Bohemian Rhapsody " live on the British TV show The X Factor alongside the finalists.

Rockfield Studios, situated just outside the town, are where the band Queen recorded parts of their hit single " Bohemian Rhapsody " in 1975, and where Oasis recorded their multi-million selling album ( What's the Story ) Morning Glory?

" Bohemian Rhapsody " by Queen is unusual as it is a pastiche in both senses of the word, as there are many distinct styles imitated in the song, all ' hodge-podged ' together to create one piece of music.

In that same year, The Flaming Lips contributed a version of " Bohemian Rhapsody " to the album Killer Queen: A Tribute to Queen.

Also in 1975, the band Queen ordered Bruce Gowers to make a promo video for their new single " Bohemian Rhapsody " to show it in Top Of The Pops ; this is also notable for being entirely shot and edited on videotape.

The Iranian authorities permitted an album of songs by English rock band Queen to be released in Iran in August 2004, partly because the song " Bohemian Rhapsody " contained several exclamations of the word Bismillah.
