From this time on, Jutta Rüdiger, who was no candidate for marriage but living in live-long partnership with her comrade Hedy Böhmer, took over to lead the B & B directly, thus holding both leadership positions until 1945.

Johann Friedrich Böhmer ( 22 April 1795 – 22 October 1863 ) was a German historian.

Böhmer was born in Frankfurt as the son of the Palatine official Karl Ludwig Böhmer.

Böhmer had a great dislike of Prussia and the Protestant faith, and a corresponding affection for Austria and the Roman Catholic Church, to which, however, he did not belong.

Other collections edited by Böhmer are: Die Reichsgesetze 900-1400 ( Frankfurt, 1832 ); Wittelsbachische Regesten von der Erwerbung des Herzogtums Bayern bis zu 1340 ( Stuttgart, 1854 ) and Codex diplomaticus Moeno-Francofurtanus.

In 1925 he also met Bernhard and Marga Böhmer for the first time.

He had three sons: Chayyim, who was the son-in-law of R. Joseph Böhmer of Slutzk, and died in Kovno in 1874, aged forty ; Benjamin Rabinovich ; and Hirsch Rabinovich, who was maggid or preacher of Wilna, and later succeeded his father as rabbi of Kovno.
