The early Bangles line-up of Susanna Hoffs ( vocals / guitars ), Vicki Peterson ( guitars / vocals ), Debbi Peterson ( vocals / drums ) and Annette Zilinskas ( vocals / bass ) recorded an EP in 1982, and released the single " The Real World ".

The Paisley Underground scene would arise out of Los Angeles in the mid-1980s around Redd Kross, The Three O ' Clock ( originally The Salvation Army ), The Bangles, The Dream Syndicate and others.

One notable route is Eternal Flame ( named after a Bangles album ), first climbed on 20 September 1989 by Kurt Albert and Wolfgang Güllich.

In 1978, Tutankhamun was commemorated in the whimsical song, " King Tut ", by American comedian Steve Martin, and in 1986 the poses in some Egyptian mural art were evoked in the song " Walk Like an Egyptian " by The Bangles.

Ray spent the late 1980s collaborating with musicians such as Peter Frampton, Rita Coolidge, Michael Steele ( of The Bangles ) and Steve LeGassick, who became a songwriting partner for 13 years.
