A Conservative Party supporter, Batt was asked to write their 2001 UK General Election song " Heartland ", thereby replacing Andrew Lloyd Webber as the Conservatives ' official composer.

Artists are presently active in Italy, while in New Zealand, Tanya Batt, a local storyteller / children's author and cycling enthusiast, used it to combine two of her passions and built a replicated kamishibai ' Spoke N ' Word ' theatre for use by her local community trust.

Following the resignation of Batt O ' Keeffe in January 2011, Hanafin was also appointed as Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Innovation.

The follow-up album Rocket Cottage ( 1976 ), also produced by Batt, proved to be a commercial flop, despite having much in common musically with its immediate predecessor.

The show's theme song is The Snooker Song, from the musical The Hunting of the Snark composed by Mike Batt and performed by Captain Sensible.
