After touring Beautiful Midnight for nearly two years, the band set to work on The Audio of Being.

Hospital Music debuted at the top of the Canadian albums chart, Good's first number one album since Beautiful Midnight.

He first won the category with the Matthew Good Band in 2000 with Beautiful Midnight.
