Belize Rural Central is limited to the southern half of mainland Belize District and containing the important villages of Ladyville, Lord's Bank, Western Paradise, Hattieville and Gales Point, Bermudian Landing, Burrel Boom Village.

Belize Rural South contains the offshore islands of the Belize District.

Ladyville falls in the constituency of Belize Rural Central.

Currently the area representative for the Belize Rural Central Division, following general elections of 7 March 2012, is the PUP's Dolores Balderamos who has beaten the UDP ’ s Michael Hutchinson.

It is the second largest city in the Belize District and largest city in the Belize Rural South constituency.
