Pachmarhi Biosphere Reserve in Satpura Range and Amarkantak biosphere reserve are two of the 17 biosphere reserves in India.

Its highest point is Babia Gora, above sea level, which since 1954 has been a national park and Biosphere Reserve.

* Bruce Peninsula National Park-In the heart of a World Biosphere Reserve, the park contains massive, rugged cliffs inhabited by thousand year old cedar trees.

UNESCO added Pachmarhi park to its list of Biosphere Reserves in May 2009.

In 1979, Waterton and bordering Glacier National park in the US were designated as World Biosphere reserves, preserving mountains, prairie, lakes and freshwater wetlands ecosystems.

Several important attractions are found on the island, including the Stewart Museum ( Fort de l ' Île Sainte-Hélène ), the La Ronde amusement park, the Biosphere ( an interpretative museum about the Saint Lawrence River installed in the former American Pavilion from Expo ), and an Aquatic Complex ( French Complexe aquatique de l ' île Sainte-Hélène ) that includes 3 exterior pools.
