The B-sides were " Stígðu Mig " (" Step Me "), a song originally recorded by The Elgar Sisters ; a group formed in the early eighties by guitarist Guðlaugur Kristinn Óttarsson and Björk, written by Björk, Óttarsson and Thór Eldon.

The single also contained " Glóra " (" Gloria ") and " Síðasta Ég " (" The Last Me ") as B-sides, two songs that were recorded by The Elgar Sisters, a group formed in the early eighties by guitarist Guðlaugur Kristinn Óttarsson and Björk.

" Glóra " is another song recorded by Björk in the Elgar Sisters and it was composed and flute performed by Björk.

The song has been performed and recorded by numerous artists since its debut, including Alan Breeze, Billy Cotton, Billy Vaughn, The Everly Brothers, Harry James, Guy Mitchell, Lys Assia, Malcolm Vaughan, Muriel Smith, Ray Anthony & his Orchestra, Russ Morgan & his Orchestra, The Beverley Sisters, Björk ( on Gling-Gló, as " Pabbi minn ") and many others.

Rumours have persisted that Björk recorded the song in the nude, although this has not been publicly commented on.

The B-side " Karvel " was recorded in one of the first sessions of Björk with Graham Massey in 1991 ; on which other two tracks were also recorded: " Army of Me " and " The Modern Things ".

However, Björk was not convinced with the result and a second video was directed by fashion designer Alexander McQueen and recorded at the Asylum Studios.

The track was recorded and mixed in less than 7 hours, as recalled by the band and features Björk making heavy use of screaming vocals.
