The Burbank Homestead Waterwheel at the Cashmere Museum is listed in the National Register of Historic Places ( NRHP ), as is the Blewett Arrastra ( a drag-stone for pulverizing ore ; not shown ), also in the museum.

Named after Fremont, Nebraska, the hometown of two of its founders, L. H. Griffith and E. Blewett, it is situated along the Fremont Cut of the Lake Washington Ship Canal to the north of Queen Anne, the east of Ballard, the south of Phinney Ridge, and the southwest of Wallingford.

It is part of the emigration written by Mary Blewett in her The Yankee Yorkshireman: Migration Lived and Imagined.

The Old Blewett Pass summit is about five miles west of the current summit.

Gregory Scott Blewett ( born 29 October 1971 ) is a former Australian right handed batsman and a right arm medium fast bowler in cricket who represented the Australian national cricket team in Test cricket and One Day International matches from 1995 to 2000.

The Uvalde and Northern Railway to Camp Wood, the Asphalt Beltway Railway in 1921, and the expansion of the asphalt mines in far southwestern Uvalde County at Blewett and Dabney were completed with the help of Mexican labor.

The Thorp Prairie sits atop the basalt flows and ends at a deep canyon of Miocene columnar basalt structures carved by Swauk Creek whose headwaters are at Blewett Pass along US 97 to the north.

She and her brother were educated at home ; her brother went to Harvard, but she was not permitted to attend college and instead married a lawyer, Blewett Lee, who later divorced her.

The Snake River flows southwest through the middle of Bingham County ; at the county's southwest corner the river is the American Falls Reservoir.

The Portneuf River flows through the county, meeting the Snake River ( the American Falls Reservoir ) at the county's lowest point, its northwestern corner.

The southern bald eagle is now an overwintering year-round inhabitant of the area, especially the Mongaup River, Rio Reservoir, and Mongaup Falls Reservoir, and many more bald eagles winter in the area.

Construction in 1970 of the Webbers Falls Lock and Dam, created the Robert S. Kerr Reservoir, part of the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System, which boosted the local economy by attracting outdoor enthusiasts.

The I-40 Bridge Disaster happened on May 26, 2002, a barge collided with a bridge support near Webbers Falls, causing a 580 foot section of the I-40 bridge to plunge into the Robert S. Kerr Reservoir on the Arkansas river.

Downstream ( flowing to the right ( western ) side of the image ), the Tuolumne River cascades over Waterwheel Falls, near Glen Aulin, eventually pooling at Hetch Hetchy Reservoir.

The I-40 Bridge Disaster of May 2002 took place on I-40's crossing of Kerr Reservoir on the Arkansas River near Webbers Falls, Oklahoma.

The southernmost part of the plateau is drained by the Kaveri River, which rises in the Western Ghats of Karnataka and bends south to break through the Nilgiri Hills at the island town of Shivanasamudraand then falls into into Tamil Nadu at Hogenakal Falls before flowing into the Stanley Reservoir and the Mettur Dam that created the reservoir, and finally emptying into the Bay of Bengal.

Bounded by rolling hills, bluffs, farmland, and woods in its upper reaches, dammed by H. M. Byllesby in 1910 for hydroelectric power to create Lake Byllesby Reservoir, the Cannon enters a broad gorge below Cannon Falls, where it is flanked by bluffs up to 300 feet ( 100 m ) high.

The brown on the left is Wingecarribee Swamp with Fitzroy Falls Reservoir on the right. The Wingecarribee River rises on the heights at Robertson, fictional home of Babe the pig.

It flows into northern South Carolina, passing Rock Hill, then through Fishing Creek Reservoir near Great Falls, and then into the Lake Wateree reservoir, approximately 30 miles ( 50 km ) northeast of Columbia.

It flows northwest through downtown Pocatello and enters the Snake at the southeast corner of American Falls Reservoir, approximately northwest of Pocatello.

Although very deep, the Great Falls Reservoir is quite small ; all of the rivers flowed through relatively deep and narrow valleys at this point and the dam served largely to flood those valleys rather than much adjoining bottom land as has been the case with most of the reservoirs subsequently developed in the area.
