Both Desilu, Too and Lucille Ball Productions work hand-in-hand with MPI Home Video in the home video re-issues of the Ball / Arnaz material not currently owned by CBS ( successor-in-interest to Paramount Television, which in turn succeeded the original Desilu company ).

Television rights to Paramount's library, included properties owned outright, and those only for certain media, are currently held on Paramount's behalf by Trifecta Entertainment & Media ( Trifecta had inherited this library from CBS Television Distribution in 2009 ).

The CBS-produced / owned films, unlike other films in Paramount's library, are still distributed by CBS Television Distribution on TV, and not by Trifecta Entertainment & Media, because CBS ( or a subdivision ) is the copyright holder for these films.

Most Price reruns are held not entirely by FremantleMedia, but also through CBS Television Distribution, as CBS currently licenses the American Price franchise from Fremantle.

The original Viacom was renamed CBS Corporation and got the broadcasting elements, Paramount Television's production operations ( renamed CBS Paramount Television, now two separate arms, CBS Television Studios for production and CBS Television Distribution for syndicated program distribution ), Viacom Outdoor advertising ( renamed CBS Outdoor ), Showtime Networks, Simon & Schuster and Paramount Parks, which the company later sold, while the new Viacom kept Paramount Pictures, MTV Networks, BET Networks, and ( until it was sold off in 2007 ) Famous Music.

The rights are now owned by CBS Television Distribution.

In March 2011 it was reported that three television studios, Disney-ABC Domestic Television, Universal Media Studios and CBS Television Distribution, were interested in bringing Lake back to talk television in 2012.

Another exception, Star Trek: The Animated Series which was owned by Paramount Television, now CBS Television Distribution, is also in the NTSC format.

Paramount now also owns the theatrical rights, while Lionsgate Entertainment ( Republic's video licensee and successor to Artisan Entertainment, previously LIVE Entertainment ) holds the home video rights, and Trifecta Entertainment & Media now holds most major TV rights on behalf of Republic / Paramount ( aside from other major and minor / low budget film, TV, and video companies that distribute the public domain cartoons )-- CBS Television Distribution ( as well as its predecessor companies Paramount Domestic Television and Worldvision Enterprises ) formally held such TV rights until 2009.

Republic ( through CBS Television Distribution, which holds the television side of Republic's holdings ) still retains the syndication distribution rights to the series.

National Amusements holds another controlling stake in CBS Corporation.

S. Open golf, Wimbledon tennis tournament, the Frozen Four of college hockey, and the GRAMMY Awards.

NBC's last remaining serial, Days of our Lives, still holds brief news coverage, previews, and recaps in the ABC and CBS editions.
