Attempts to accuse anthropologists of complicity with the CIA and government intelligence activities during the Vietnam War years have turned up surprisingly little ( although anthropologist Hugo Nutini was active in the stillborn Project Camelot ).

Lerner's autobiography The Street Where I Live ( 1978 ), was an account of three of his and Loewe's successful collaborations, My Fair Lady, Gigi, and Camelot along with personal information.

Most Arthurian romances of this period produced in English or Welsh did not follow this trend ; Camelot was referred to infrequently, and usually in translations from French.

Following the arguments of David Dumville, Alcock felt the site was too late and too uncertain to be a tenable Camelot.

However, the Essex Camulodunum was located well within territory usually thought to have been conquered early in the 5th century by Saxons, so it is unlikely to have been the location of any " true " Camelot.

In American contexts, the word " Camelot " is sometimes used to refer admiringly to the presidency of John F. Kennedy, as his term was said to have potential and promise for the future, and many were inspired by Kennedy's speeches, vision, and policies.

The lines " Don't let it be forgot, that once there was a spot, for one brief shining moment, that was known as Camelot ," from the musical Camelot, were quoted by his widow Jacqueline as being from his favorite song in the score.

The musical was adapted into a 1967 film of the same name, which starred Richard Harris as Arthur, and which featured the Castle of Coca, Segovia as a fittingly opulent Camelot.

T. H. White's novel was adapted into the Lerner-Loewe stage musical Camelot ( 1960 ) and the Disney animated film The Sword in the Stone ( 1963 ); Camelot, with its focus on the love of Lancelot and Guinevere and the cuckolding of Arthur, was itself made into a film of the same name in 1967.

Merlin plays a modern-day villain in Roger Zelazny's short story " The Last Defender of Camelot " ( 1979 ), which won the 1980 Balrog Award for short fiction and was adapted into an episode of the television series The Twilight Zone in 1986.

In the 2011 TV series Camelot, Merlin was played by Joseph Fiennes.

Camelot is a castle and court associated with the legendary King Arthur.

He further suggested that Cavalon / Camelot became Arthur's capital due to confusion with Arthur's other traditional court at Carlion ( Caer Lleon in Welsh ).

Despite this, Cadbury remains widely associated with Camelot.

The area's connections with Camelot and Camlann are merely speculative.

The Kennedys, newly in the White House, also enjoyed the play and invited Burton for a visit, establishing the link of the idealistic young Kennedy administration with Camelot.

He collaborated with lyricist Alan Jay Lerner on the long-running Broadway musicals My Fair Lady and Camelot, with book and lyrics by Lerner, both of which were made into films.

She also played the role of Guinevere in the film Camelot with Richard Harris and Franco Nero, and briefly as Sylvia Pankhurst in Oh!

Some writers of the " realist " strain of modern Arthurian fiction have attempted a more sensible Camelot ; inspired by Alcock's Cadbury-Camelot excavation, writers Marion Zimmer Bradley, Mary Stewart, and Catherine Christian place their Camelots in that city and describe it accordingly.

Jack Warner did, however, remain studio president until the summer of 1967, when Camelot failed at the box office and Warner gave up his position to the studio's longtime publicity director, Ben Kalmenson ; Warner did, however, remain on board as an independent producer and vice-president.

This interpretation is followed by Lerner and Loewe in the musical Camelot ; Nimue lures Merlin away with the song " Follow Me ".

Camelot features a score rich in English country-tune charm by Mr. Lerner.

Each character had an individualized logo instead of a standard typeface ; figures were shown in action poses rather than full-body portraits ; character histories and power descriptions were more vague ; and characters from all of DC's publishing domain were included ( such as out-of-continuity series like Camelot 3000 and Watchmen ), not just those from its shared universe ( although the Who's Who Update ' 88 did limit its entries to in-continuity series only ).

The remaining seven stanzas describe the effect on the lady of seeing Lancelot ; she stops weaving and looks out her window toward Camelot, bringing about the curse.

From then until about 1975, when Dolby Stereo was used for the first time in films, most motion pictures — even some from which stereophonic soundtrack albums were made, such as Zeffirelli's Romeo and Juliet — were still released in monaural sound, stereo being reserved almost exclusively for expensive musicals such as West Side Story, My Fair Lady, or Camelot ; epics such as Ben-Hur or Cleopatra ; or dramas with a strong reliance on sound effects or music, such as The Graduate, with its Simon and Garfunkel score.
