Widely known as D ' Arcy McGee, he was born on April 13th, 1825 in Carlingford, Ireland, and raised as a Roman Catholic.

Carlingford and its
Carlingford received its current name in 1886 after a vote by the residents.
Bennelong is based in Northern Sydney, including the suburbs of Eastwood, Carlingford, Epping and Ryde, and was held by the Liberal Party from its creation until its swing to Labor in the 2007 election.
In 1959 the name of the school was changed to " Carlingford Agricultural High School " ( to reflect its new full high school status-although there were no actual Fourth and Fifth Year classes at that time ).
It follows the exploits of its heroine, Lucilla Marjoribanks, as she schemes to improve the social life of the provincial English town of Carlingford.
Despite the western part being commissioned by Hugh de Lacy before 1186, the castle owes its name to King John ( Richard the Lionheart's brother ) who visited Carlingford in 1210.
Established by charter in 1326 by Edward II to the Bailiffs of Carlingford it allowed them to levy murage for its building.
Now the main street of Carlingford, this was the area where a weekly market was held with records of its layout going back to 1358.
It runs between its junction with R173 at Ghan Road, Carlingford and its junction with R175 at Saint James ' Well via Carlingford Relief Road and Mullatee.

By the start of 1958 the school was independent of Carlingford District Rural School and was called the " Carlingford Junior Agricultural High School " ( the Junior part of the name reflected the fact that students at that time could only undertake the first three years of their secondary education at the school ).
Mr Hoskin questioned the name of the school ( Carlingford Agricultural High School ) as the school was not serving just the Carlingford area ( in fact there were only a small number of students from Carlingford ).

The line was intended to continue from Epping to Parramatta, incorporating the existing Carlingford line, but this section has been postponed indefinitely, though a stub tunnel has been constructed at the northern end of Epping station.

The line was to run from Chatswood through Epping to Parramatta, partially travelling along the underutilised Carlingford surface line which would be expanded from single-track to dual-track.

However, local legend says that the stone was thrown by a giant from the Cooley Mountains, on the other side of Carlingford Lough.
On top of this the views from the stone are stunning looking out over County Louth and Armagh and of course Carlingford Lough.
It stretches along the southern coast of County Down, from Carlingford Lough in the west to Annalong in the east.
