Cartago ( formerly Carthage, Daniersburg, and Lakeville ) is a census-designated place in Inyo County, California, United States.

In the state legislature Cartago is located in the 18th Senate District, represented by Republican Jean Fuller, and in the 34th Assembly District, represented by Republican Connie Conway.

Federally, Cartago is located in California's 25th congressional district, which has a Cook PVI of R + 7 and is represented by Republican Buck McKeon.
