Pipes has accused CAIR of demanding that a billboard declaring Osama bin Laden " the sworn enemy " be brought down in 1998 as " offensive to Moslems ", denying bin Laden's responsibility for the Africa embassy bombings, calling the conviction of the 1993 World Trade Center bombers " a travesty of justice ," calling the conviction of the blind Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman a " hate crime ", calling the extradition order of suspected Hamas terrorist Mousa Mohammed Abu Marzook " anti-Islamic ", calling President Bush's closing of the Holy Land Foundation for collecting money used to support Hamas " unjust " and " disturbing ", praising and defending convicted murderer H. Rap Brown as well as convicted attempted murderer Adnan Chaudhry, and their LA office head calling Israelis " zionazis "; he also quotes the FBI's former chief of counterterrorism Steven Pomerantz saying that CAIR " effectively " gives aid to international terrorist groups.

Chaudhry has been married to Virmati since 1965 ; they have three children and several grandchildren.

Chaudhry has since rebuilt the Labour Party, which won several key by-elections throughout 2004.

Chaudhry's decision to join the multi-party cabinet ( although Chaudhry himself did not join the cabinet ), has also been a course for friction within the party.

Chaudhry has also spoken in favour of bringing more ethnic Fijians into the economic mainstream.

Chaudhry has periodically called for Fiji's electoral system to be reformed.

Chaudhry has been involved in a number of controversial circumstances over the years, ranging from a manslaughter conviction in 1978 to allegations of misuse of funds as recently as 2005.

The Prime Minister alleges that Chaudhry has allowed Senator Anand Singh to use office equipment for commercial purposes.

Chaudhry has dismissed the Prime Minister's complaint as " frivolous " and " childish.

The party has been elected to power twice, with Timoci Bavadra and Mahendra Chaudhry becoming prime minister in 1987 and 1999 respectively.

Since 2001, Mahendra Chaudhry has survived a leadership challenge and has rebuilt the Labour Party.

Mahendra Chaudhry, the deposed Prime Minister, has publicly supported Mara's version of events, and has further alleged that Mara was blackmailed with a threat to kill his daughter, Tourism Minister Adi Koila Nailatikau, who was one of the hostages.

Baba returned to his academic career, taking a post as a lecturer at the University of Suva, where he remained until 1999, when he was again elected to Parliament and became Foreign Minister and one of two Deputy Prime Ministers in the government of Mahendra Chaudhry.

On 15 May 2005, the publication of " Speight of Violence ," coauthored by Baba, his wife Unaisi Nabobo-Baba ( a fellow USP academic ( at the time ) now ( 2011 ) of the University of Guam ) and journalist Michael Field, generated controversy with the claim that Mahendra Chaudhry had promised him the Prime Ministership before and during the 1999 election campaign, and that Chaudhry had reneged on that promise.

Despite this success, Chaudhry Muhammad Ali failed at healing rifts within his political party, the Muslim League.

The Fiji Labour Party of deposed Prime Minister Chaudhry boycotted the observances, claiming that they were a political ploy aimed at defusing the lingering post-coup ethnic tensions without addressing the real problem, that many of those responsible for organizing and funding the coup remain unidentified and at large.

Chaudhry Sir Muhammad Zafarullah Khan, KCSI ( February 6, 1893-September 1, 1985 ) was a Pakistani politician, diplomat, international jurist, and scholar of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, known for drafting the Pakistan Resolution, first foreign minister of Pakistan, for his representation of Pakistan at the United Nations, and serving as a judge at the International Court of Justice in The Hague.

Deposed Prime Minister Mahendra Chaudhry, an Indo-Fijian, condemned a number of businessmen, also Indo-Fijians, as " traitors to their people " for having financed and fed the mutineers in a rebellion ostensibly aimed at promoting nationalistic indigenous Fijian political interests.

He survived a grenade attack at the Gujranwala railway station when he, along with Pir Pagara and Chaudhry Zahur Elahi, was on a visit to Punjab under the banner of the opposition alliance United Democratic Front ( UDF ).

He resumed work at the Lahore High Court on the 19th of March 2009 after the restoration of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.
