On 30 June 1878, a feast had been arranged in Paris by official decision to honour the French Republic ( the event was commemorated in a painting by Claude Monet ).

Her work was selected for exhibition in six subsequent Salons until, in 1874, she joined the " rejected " Impressionists in the first of their own exhibitions, which included Paul Cézanne, Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, Camille Pissarro, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and Alfred Sisley.

Claude Monet () ( 14 November 18405 December 1926 ) was a founder of French impressionist painting, and the most consistent and prolific practitioner of the movement's philosophy of expressing one's perceptions before nature, especially as applied to plein-air landscape painting.

Claude Monet was born on 14 November 1840 on the 5th floor of 45 rue Laffitte, in the 9th arrondissement of Paris.

He was the second son of Claude Adolphe Monet and Louise Justine Aubrée Monet, both of them second-generation Parisians.

Among the many piano players he listened to were Doc Perry, Lester Dishman, Louis Brown, Turner Layton, Gertie Wells, Clarence Bowser, Sticky Mack, Blind Johnny, Cliff Jackson, Claude Hopkins, Phil Wurd, Caroline Thornton, Luckey Roberts, Eubie Blake, Joe Rochester, and Harvey Brooks.

Several films, including The Sundowners, Hud starring Paul Newman ( 1963 ), Leap of Faith, and Sunshine Christmas ( 1977 ), starring Cliff DeYoung and the closing sunset scene in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade ( 1989 ), were made in and around Claude.

The Treniers were an American R & B and jump blues musical group, led by identical twins Cliff and Claude Trenier with the Gene Gilbeaux Orchestra which included Don Hill on saxophone, Shifty Henry and later James ( Jimmy ) Johnson on bass, Henry ( Tucker ) Green on drums and Gene Gilbeaux on piano, along with the Treniers Twins and later, additional Treniers brothers, joining the group on vocals.

Johnson's musical legacy is present in the body of work of the more famous Fats Waller as well as scores of other pianists who were influenced by him, such as Art Tatum, Donald Lambert, Louis Mazetier, Pat Flowers, Joe Turner, Cliff Jackson, Hank Duncan, Claude Hopkins, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Don Ewell, Johnny Guarnieri, Dick Hyman, Dick Wellstood, Ralph Sutton, Neville Dickie, Mike Lipskin, Jim Turner, Bernd Lhotzky, Chris Hopkins and Butch Thompson.

Other notable stride and stride-inspired jazz pianists include Art Tatum, Teddy Wilson, Thelonious Monk, Johnny Guarnieri, Don Ewell, Louis Mazetier, Donald Lambert, Cliff Jackson, Dick Wellstood, Butch Thompson, Pat Flowers, Joe Turner, Claude Hopkins, Ralph Sutton, Hank Duncan, Dick Hyman, and Jaki Byard.

He defeated Claude De Gronckel in the first round, and Cliff Drysdale in the second, both in four sets, before falling to Bob Hewitt in the third, in straight sets.

And at once Claude saw what the trouble was and he knew just how to correct it.

He went on to plan and execute a major foundational programme for rebuilding the foundations of algebraic geometry, which were then in a state of flux and under discussion in Claude Chevalley's seminar ; he outlined his programme in his talk at the 1958 International Congress of Mathematicians.

The third is the artist's only reference to music, created for a monument at Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Claude Debussy's birthplace.

In Rome, Both had developed a new style of composition due, at least in part, to his interaction with Claude Lorrain.
