Braxton Bragg Comer ( November 7, 1848 – August 15, 1927 ) was a planter, businessman, and an American Democratic politician who was the 33rd Governor of Alabama from 1907 to 1911, and a United States Senator in 1920.

B. Comer, former governor of Alabama, was appointed to serve the rest of his term until November 2, 1920, when J. Thomas Heflin was elected to serve out the term.

Sam Comer ( 13 July 1893 – 27 December 1974 ) was a set decorator who worked on almost 300 films during a career spanning four decades.
