The show was produced by Yongestreet Productions through the mid-1980s ; it was later produced by Gaylord Entertainment, which distributed the show in syndication.

( The success of Hee Haw and Lawrence Welk in syndication, and the network decisions that led to their respective cancellations, were the inspiration for a novelty song called " The Lawrence Welk-Hee Haw Counter-Revolution Polka ," performed by Clark ; the song became a top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart in the fall of 1972.

In the United States, Home Improvement started to air in broadcast syndication in September 1995, distributed via Buena Vista Television ( now Disney-ABC Domestic Television ) and continued to be syndicated until 2007 ; in a manner similar to Seinfeld and The Simpsons after they began airing in broadcast syndication, episodes of Home Improvement were not aired in order of their production code number or original airdate.

Some prominent examples of liberal talk radio shows currently in national syndication include: Dial Global talk show hosts Ed Schultz, Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartmann, and Bill Press ; The Young Turks ; Fox News host Alan Colmes, First Amendment Radio Network Libertarian host Jon Arthur, self-distributed Norman Goldman and Mike Malloy, and Premiere's Randi Rhodes.

In the United States, contemporary radio drama can be found on ACB radio, produced by the American Council of the Blind ; on the Sirius XM Book Radio channel from Sirius XM Satellite Radio ( previously Sonic Theater on XM ); and occasionally in syndication, as with Jim French's production Imagination Theater.

Hollywood Squares ran for one more year in syndication ; this last year of shows was taped at the Riviera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

The show was timed so that two new contestants appeared each Monday ; this was necessary as the tapes of the show were shipped between stations, and weeks could not be aired in any discernible order ( a common syndication practice at the time, known as " bicycling ").

In 1984, Hanna-Barbera began producing new episodes specifically for syndication ; by September 1985, the 24 episodes from the first season were combined with 41 new episodes and began airing in late afternoon time slots in 80 U. S. media markets, including the 30 largest.

NBC picked up the series in 1989, retooled as Saved by the Bell, with Miss Bliss actors Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Dustin Diamond, Lark Voorhies and Dennis Haskins carried over to the new show ; Saved by the Bell achieved major success on NBC's Saturday morning lineup ( producing two spinoffs in the process ) and in worldwide syndication.

It was announced in late May 2006 that Superstation WGN ( now WGN America ) would carry Lizzie McGuire and Even Stevens in syndication ; this began on September 18, 2006.

In syndication, the show was usually shown on Tuesday or Sunday evenings ; this, of course, depended on decisions made by local television stations.

Both Rod Rocket and the life of Christ series credited " Filmation Associates " with " Production Design " in addition to Scheimer and Sutherland as directors ; but True Line was not officially changed into the Filmation Associates corporation until Rod Rocket entered syndication in 1963.

After Jack Webb's death, two Dragnet revivals were attempted ; one was for weekly syndication in 1989 and the other was for ABC in 2003.

After three decades of resistance, Disney finally entered Saturday morning in 1985 when The Gummi Bears and The Wuzzles debuted with significantly more substantial budgets ; the first-run syndication success of DuckTales, which premiered in 1987, eventually inspired a whole block of Disney-produced syndicated cartoons which forced competing studios to improve their own production standards to compete.

In 1987, The Walt Disney Company tried its luck at syndication ; DuckTales went on the air that September and lasted 100 episodes.

In 1991, Disney added another hour ; the block aired in syndication until 1999.

In the 1980s, national TV only aired Saturday mornings, not competing with the weekday and Sunday blocks of syndication aired by local independent stations but ; however, by the 1990s, Fox and then WB started airing weekday afternoon blocks.

The series was also unique in that it was among the few situation comedies in the late 1960s that did not use a laugh track ; however, 20th Century-Fox Television added them when the series was reissued for syndication and cable rebroadcasts in the late 1980s.

The pilot episode, " The Looney Beginning ," aired as a prime-time special on CBS on September 14, 1990 ; while the series itself was featured in first-run syndication for the first two seasons.

The show was originally distributed by Screen Gems in its network run and in syndication through the 1970s ; it was later passed to Worldvision Enterprises, after it became a sister company to Hanna-Barbera.

The CW airs The Daily Buzz for a morning show on its small-market cable-only network ; this show is produced by ACME Communications and also airs on other stations outside that network in syndication.

The Conversational Monitor System ( CMS ; originally: " Cambridge Monitor System ") is a relatively simple interactive computing single-user operating system.

Despite this lack of support from IBM, CP / CMS achieved great success as a time-sharing platform ; by 1972, there were some 44 CP / CMS systems in use, including commercial sites that resold access to CP / CMS.

* Paravirtualization, used to provide a hypervisor interface that CMS uses to access VM services ; this is implemented by the non-virtualized DIAG ( diagnose ) instruction

At one time, CMS was also a major environment for e-mail and office productivity ; an important product was IBM's PROFS ( later renamed OfficeVision ).

Students were allowed to choose to stay at their neighborhood " home school ," or they could rank their top three choices of any other school in CMS ; however they would only receive free transportation to their home school or any of the magnet schools in the district.

The CMS software overhead may have actually been a key cause of much lower performance for many real-world applications ; the simple VLIW core architecture could not compete on computationally intensive applications ; and the southbridge interface was limited by its low bandwidth for graphics or other I / O-intensive applications.

This discontent appears to have been fostered by the talk with the American traders, although it was an idea that had existed since the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi ; William Colenso, the CMS missionary printer, in his record of the events of the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi commented that “ fter some little time Te Kemara came towards the table and affixed his sign to the parchment, stating that the Roman Catholic bishop ( who had left the meeting before any of the chiefs had signed ) had told him " not to write on the paper, for if he did he would be made a slave.

Richard Davis, who was living at the CMS mission at Waimate and visited the pā during the siege ; as a consequence of which Despard complained as to interference by the missionary in the action against Hone Heke.

The British Resident, Colonel Munro, took the initiative for establishing a seminary in Kottayam for the theological education of Jacobite Christian priests and invited the Anglican missionaries to teach there ; thus started the relation of CMS with Saint Thomas Christians.

It showed that time-sharing was viable ; it fostered important new applications for computers ; it had a significant influence on the next generation of time-sharing systems ( notably CP / CMS ); and its direct successor, Multics, pioneered many core concepts of current operating systems.

( While an earlier version of CMS was uncharitably described as " CP / M on a mainframe ", the comparison is an anachronism ; the author of CP / M, Gary Kildall, was an experienced CMS user.

TSS failed ; but the 360-67 and CP / CMS succeeded, despite internal political battles over time-sharing, and concerted efforts at IBM to scrap the CP / CMS effort.
