Taylor County is home to five of North America's venomous snakes ( Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake, Timber Rattlesnake, Carolina Pigmy Rattlesnake, Eastern Coral Snake, Water Moccasin, and Copperhead ), representing every North American family of venomous snake.
