The land was near the property of a good friend of Huygens, Count Johan Maurits of Nassau-Siegen, who built his house, the Mauritshuis, around the same time.

Count Johan Christopher Toll ( 1 February 1743 – 21 May 1817 ), Swedish statesman and soldier, was born at Mölleröd in Scania ( now part of Hässleholm Municipality, Skåne County.

Johan Axelsson Oxenstierna af Södermöre ( June 24, 1611 – December 5, 1657 ) was a Count and a Swedish statesman.

Likewise, Count Carl Johan Bernadotte of Wisborg, who lost his succession rights to the Swedish throne and renounced his titles in 1946 when he married the commoner Elin Kerstin Margaretha Wijkmark.

A Board of nineteen members appointed Prince Johan Maurits, Count of Nassau, Governor of Pernambuco.

They renamed it " Fort Margaretha after the mother of Count Johan Maurits of Nassau-Siegen, Governor of Dutch Brazil ( or New Holland ).

Count Johan August Sandels ( August 31, 1764 in Stockholm – January 22, 1831 ) was a Swedish soldier and politician, being appointed Governor of Norway ( Riksståthållare in Swedish, Rigsstatholder in Dano-Norwegian ) 1818 and Field Marshal in 1824.

Notably Count Carl Johan Bernadotte of Wisborg was chairman of the association for many years.

At the time of his death, he was one of five surviving great-grandchildren of Queen Victoria ( the other four being Count Sigvard Bernadotte ( 1907 – 2002 ), Infanta Beatriz of Spain ( 1909 – 2002 ), Lady Katherine Brandram ( 1913 – 2007 ) and Count Carl Johan Bernadotte ( 1916 – 2012 ).

The forces involved in this conflict were 40, 000 Swedish troops under Gustavus Adolphus and 25, 000 Catholic League troops under Count Johan Tzerclaes of Tilly.

He was ambitious, and petitioned the Danish government in the person of Denmark ’ s Minister of Foreign Affairs Johann Hartwig Ernst, Count von Bernstorff for funds.

In 1621 he served with Prince Maurice of Nassau, in 1622 with Count Ernst von Mansfeld ( battle of Fleurus, 29 August 1622 ).

In 1707, an order by Count Ernst of Stolberg forbade Brocken guides to take strangers or local folk to the Brocken without special permission, and the lighting of fires was forbidden.
