The Minister of Canadian Heritage () is the Minister of the Crown in the Canadian Cabinet who heads the Department of Canadian Heritage, the federal government department responsible for Canada's Arts, Culture, Media, Communications network, and Sport.

Crown Media operates the Hallmark Channel and its spin-off Hallmark Movie Channel in the United States, while it licenses the brand to Universal Networks International for the British channel of the same name.

In 2003, Crown Media acquired The Jim Henson Company's half of Hallmark Channel in the UK, discontinuing all syndicated programming from Jim Henson Television.

Crown Media Holdings has no connection with the UK company Crown Media LLP.

It is owned by Crown Media Holdings, which in turn majority-owned by Hallmark Cards.

Crown Media Holdings and The Jim Henson Company bought stakes in Odyssey in November 1998.

Henson sold its interest in the channel to Crown Media Holdings in 2000.
