DARE ( UK ) aims to develop and deliver a range of educational resources to help children and young people acquire and use the knowledge, understanding and skills that equip them to live safe, healthy and productive lives in a world where drugs are commonplace.

DARE Officers and Teachers ( where the Teacher delivered option is chosen ) are provided with session guides.

DARE Active is principally led by DARE Champions, members of the community ( professional and non professional ) who are actively involved in teaching, training, supporting or coaching young people and are trained and licensed by DARE UK to deliver the resource.

Additionally, there are several specialized units identified as Tactical Response, Medical Response, Bike Patrol, Traffic Safety, and DARE education.

Knowing the proportion of informants from each age group who gave a particular response and contrasting that to the proportion of informants from each age group who answered that particular question allows DARE editors to detect which words appear to be old-fashioned and which are coming into greater use.

Some 2, 777 people in 1, 002 American communities served as DARE informants by answering all or part of the DARE questionnaire.
