Some of the last issues were printed versions of episodes from the 1996-1998 Dennis and Gnasher animated TV series.

The brand new Dennis and Gnasher was launched separately from The Beano in September 2009.

Dennis and Gnasher got their own TV series on CBBC from 7 September 2009 to accompany the comic's new look.
