Devo also confirmed that they would be performing at All Tomorrow's Parties on May 6 and 8, with the May 6th performance featuring the band performing their first album, Q: Are We Not Men?

1978 also saw the release of UK band The Human League's début single " Being Boiled ", and in the US Devo began moving towards a more electronic sound.

Branson also flew American band Devo to Jamaica, aiming to install Lydon as lead singer in the band.
