Dickson and his team at the Edison lab then worked on the development of the Kinetoscope for several years.

In the mid 1990s the Dickson Comet Cross Country team won the state tournament for 3 years in a row under the coaching of Ron Love.

Dickson and his team at the Edison lab also devised the Kinetograph, an innovative motion picture camera with rapid intermittent, or stop-and-go, film movement, to photograph movies for in-house experiments and, eventually, commercial Kinetoscope presentations.

The team then poured the mixture into a bucket, magically turning it into confetti they throw on Dickson.

The team was purchased in by Tom Dickson and Sherrie Myers.

Several of the Scotland team in that match, made up solely of Queen's Park players, had been part of the regiment including Billy Dickson, Billy MacKinnon and Joseph Taylor.

Dickson in the first experiment in history in synchronizing sound and motion pictures ( 1894 ).

It is the first known film with live-recorded sound and appears to be the first motion picture made for the Kinetophone, the proto-sound-film system developed by Dickson and Thomas Edison.

The first motion pictures made in the Black Maria were deposited for copyright by Dickson at the Library of Congress in August, 1893.

In December 1894 Latham and his two sons formed the Lambda Company at 35 Frankfort Street, employing Eugène Lauste, a former Thomas Edison employee, as well as motion picture pioneer William Kennedy Dickson.

Latham, aided by the collaboration of Dickson and Lauste, is notable for the invention of the Latham loop inside movie cameras and projectors, a significant development in the history of cinema because it allowed motion pictures to be continuously shot and projected for a much longer period than the one-minute films of Thomas Edison's kinetoscope.

Edison's assistant William Kennedy Dickson, who supervised the development of Edison's motion picture system, produced the first Edison films intended for public exhibition, 1893 – 95.
