He has fronted Hide, The Crown, Disfear, Skitsystem and the grindcore supergroup Lock Up, in which he performed alongside Napalm Death members Shane Embury ( bass ) and Jesse Pintado ( guitar ) and former Dimmu Borgir drummer, Nicholas Barker.

Other bands that have cited Celtic Frost as an influence, or have covered Celtic Frost, include Obituary, Dimmu Borgir, Goatwhore, Sepultura, Gorgoroth, Gallhammer and many others.

Norway's early black metal music was quite varied in experimentation and innovation — some bands ( Mayhem, Emperor, and Gorgoroth ) focused on creating a dark sound, others focused on using Viking elements ( Borknager, Enslaved ), and others ( Carpathian Forest, Dimmu Borgir ) included the use of keyboards to create the subgenre called symphonic black metal.

Dimmu Borgir even uses elements of classical music to expand their music to a wide range of audiences.

" While the unblack scene is not part of the traditional black metal scene, several musicians from both have co-operated: Stian Aarstad of Dimmu Borgir produced Vaakevandring's eponymous EP, and Jan Axel Blomberg of Mayhem played drums for Antestor's The Forsaken ( 2005 ) album.

The album was produced by Zeuss with artwork from Marcelo Vasco, who has designed album artwork for bands such as Borknagar, Obituary, and Dimmu Borgir.

Several other groups, including Kiss, Alice Cooper, and Dimmu Borgir simulate the effect with facepaint.

They progressed toward metal in 1990, however, signing and distributing dozens of artists such as Dimmu Borgir and Hypocrisy.

Many of them, such as Dimmu Borgir and Dissection, are still signed to Nuclear Blast.

2007 marked the labels 20th anniversary and opened with In Sorte Diaboli of Norwegian Dimmu Borgir hitting the US Billboard charts at rank 43, and Exodus ' The Atrocity Exhibition ... Exhibit A hitting number 112.

In April / May 2008 the band toured North America as part of " The Invaluable Darkness " tour with Keep of Kalessin and headliner Dimmu Borgir.

Following the release of Drep de kristne, Nagash spent more time working with other bands such as Dimmu Borgir and his other band Covenant that he started with Blackheart.

Live, the band featured Aleister of Faust ( a cult Italian death metal band ) on guitar and following Grom's departure, also featured Nick Barker ( Cradle Of Filth, Dimmu Borgir ...) on drums.

On June 4, 2010, guitarist Christian Vidal joined Therion, but on July 15, 2010, Snowy Shaw ( Gothic Kabbalah, Sitra Ahra ) left the band after problems with his throat, and having joined Dimmu Borgir.

However, he rejoined Therion, and left Dimmu Borgir, on August 25, 2010.

Moonspell performed the " Blackest of the Black " tour with Danzig, Winds of Plague, Dimmu Borgir, and Skeletonwitch.

The show also often featured music from some of Margera's favorite bands, such as HIM, CKY, The Bloodhound Gang, Cradle of Filth, Clutch, Turbonegro, Dimmu Borgir, Carnal Forge, Slayer, Gwar, Children of Bodom, The Bled and The 69 Eyes.
