Jonathan Prentiss Dolliver ( February 6, 1858October 15, 1910 ) was a Republican orator, U. S. Representative, then U. S. Senator from Iowa at the turn of the 20th century.
Dolliver was born in 1858 near Kingwood in Preston County, a Virginia county that would refuse to join the Confederacy and would instead remain in the Union as part of the new state of West Virginia.
After studying law, Dolliver was admitted to the bar in 1878, and commenced practice in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
