Two minor enemies in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars bear a striking resemblance to Donkey Kong.

Both Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong, Jr. appear as minor antagonists in the Super Mario Bros .- based adventure book Doors to Doom.
