The band's second album, The Contino Sessions ( 1999 ), marked a slight change in direction with more attention to live instrumentation than their first and the inclusion of guest vocalists ( including Dot Allison, Bobby Gillespie, Iggy Pop, and Jim Reid ).

Button plays drums in Hawkins's backing band Thee Awkward Silences and also in D. I. V bassist Mat Flint's band Deep Cut, as well as playing guitar for Dot Allison.

Each song was presented in a music-theatre manner, with the vocal parts taken by a number of singers, including Jarvis Cocker, Damon Albarn and Dot Allison.

In 1965, Allison returned to Nashville as head the country music department at Dot Records.

Neither version features the song " Aftersun ", featuring vocals by Dot Allison, that appears in the end credits of the film.

In 1974, Gulf + Western sold the entire record operation to the American Broadcasting Company, who continued the Dot and Blue Thumb imprints as subsidiaries of ABC Records, while discontinuing the Paramount label altogether.

As a result, Stewart did not renew his distribution deal with Atlantic, and instead sold Stax a week later to Paramount Pictures ( who also owned Dot Records ), a unit of Gulf + Western, in May 1968.

Led by Cliff Slaughter and Dot Gibson, it initially had support in the Workers Revolutionary Party ( Namibia ) and a South African section which renamed itself WIRFI and took 5, 481 votes in the South African general election, 1994, as well as Michel Varga's Group of Opposition and Continuity of the Fourth International.

Warner Bros. Pictures had no record label division at the time and one of its contracted actors, Tab Hunter, scored a hit song for Dot Records, which was a division of rival Paramount Pictures.

In the late 1990s, TVOntario capitalized on the success of Polkaroo by placing him and the other animal characters, now also actors dressed in costumes, in a new series, Polka Dot Shorts, which also had its own catchphrase moment, as each episode included the unlikely discovery of a pair of polka dot shorts, leading to the exchange:

Both Dot Records and Liberty Records expressed some interest, but each proposed to record the Trio on 45rpm ( revolutions per minute ) singles only, whereas Werber and the Trio members both felt that 33⅓ rpm albums had more potential for the kind of music that the group was doing.

His success prompted Jack Warner to enforce the actor's contract with the Warner Bros. studio by banning Dot Records, the label for which Hunter had recorded the single ( and which was owned by rival Paramount Pictures ), from releasing a follow-up album he had recorded for them.
