* June 17 – Vlad III Dracula attempts to assassinate Mehmed II in The Night Attack, forcing Mehmed to retreat from Wallachia.

After trying to fight off the Wolf Man with little success, Dracula attempts to escape and transforms into a bat, but the Wolf Man snares him then grab him and fall down to the sea below. Joan abruptly wakes from her trance, while the boys escape the castle and head to the pier with the Monster in pursuit.

He remembers hearing that madmen have unnatural strength, and so attempts to fight Dracula.

This game attempts to bridge the Castlevania games with the Dracula novel written by Bram Stoker, which the series had only been loosely connected to previously, having arguably more in common with the 1931 Bela Lugosi film than the actual novel.

They particularly liked the scenes in Hell where Homer is punished by the Devil, and Chief Wiggum's attempts to deal with Dracula ( whom he thinks is a mummy ) in the " Bart Simpson's Dracula " segment by ordering the Egyptian wing of the Springfield museum to be destroyed.

Dracula, still alive, attempts to drag Sean in with him, but Sean is saved at the last minute by stabbing Dracula with a wooden stake, and Van Helsing, who briefly escaped from Limbo to take Dracula to his doom.

Dracula attempts to re-form again but is reminded by Buffy that she is " standing right here ".

Paul attempts to convince her that one of the librarians is trying to prevent their research into Dracula, but she is unpersuaded.

In Curse of the Mutants, the son of Dracula, Xarus, attempts to create an army of mutant vampires but is defeated by the X-Men.

In the direct-to-video film The Batman vs. Dracula, it said that Batman's cave is in fact part of a series of Catacombs under Gotham City, which Batman uses to lure Dracula to the cave and subsequently kill him with the new solar generator.

In the movie he is sent to Transylvania to kill Count Dracula.

In Kim Newman's series Anno Dracula, Van Helsing has failed to kill Dracula.

* In the comedy movie Love at First Bite, Dracula falls in love, and Jeffrey Rosenberg, grandson of Fritz Van Helsing, tries to kill him.

Jonathan starts to write in his diary, and his true intentions are revealed: he has come to kill Dracula.

But when he turns to kill Dracula, the Count has already awakened and is waiting for him ...

Before he leaves, Soma elicits a promise from Julius to kill him if he fully becomes Dracula.

In many of the later commercials, film villains ( such as Darth Vader, The Wicked Witch of the West, King Kong, Wile E. Coyote, and Boris and Natasha ) would try to destroy or capture the Bunny only to see complications arise when the Supervolt batteries ran out, the villains themselves collapsed from exhaustion, or other circumstances allowed for the mascot's escape ( i. e. the sun coming out to kill Dracula before he could seek shelter, or a fire sprinkler ( the smoke detector was presumably operated by Energizer batteries ) being inadvertently triggered leading to The Wicked Witch of the West melting, or Boris and Natasha attempting to shrink the Bunny, but inadvertently end up shrinking themselves ( and they try to escape the Bunny, who is now massive to them ).

Dracula flees back to his castle in Transylvania, followed by Van Helsing's gang, who kill him just before sunset.

They set fire to the windmill in order to kill the monster, but are chased off by Dracula and his brides.

Dracula arrives and is about to kill Phoebe when the Frankenstein Creature turns against him, impaling him on a wrought-iron fence.

Birch was cast and scheduled to make her American stage debut in the off Broadway revival of Dracula, but was fired for reasons apparently involving her father's interference four days before the show's first performance.

That night, Dr. Sandra Mornay ( Lénore Aubert ) receives Dracula and the Monster at her island castle.

Impatient, Dracula asserts his will by hypnotizing her, biting her in the throat, and making her his vampire slave.

Later writings about the case have led to legendary accounts of the Countess bathing in the blood of virgins to retain her youth and subsequently also to comparisons with Vlad III the Impaler of Wallachia, on whom the fictional Count Dracula is partly based, and to modern nicknames of the Blood Countess and Countess Dracula.

This led to her appearing in the work of Edgar Allan Poe, and as the vampire, notably in Carmilla and Brides of Dracula.

His symbiotic left hand states, in Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, " Dracula became impatient with the Bloody Countess, and your father, The Vampire King, became impatient with her gluttony.

And soon Dracula arrives and bites her again.

Arthur refuses to use Lucy as a means to find Dracula, so Van Helsing stakes Lucy in her coffin.

Meanwhile, Mina is called away from home by a message telling her to meet Arthur at an address in Karlstadt — the same address Arthur and Van Helsing are told the coffin was bound for — and Dracula is indeed waiting for her ...

During the night, Van Helsing and Arthur guard Mina's windows outside against a return of Dracula, but Dracula nonetheless appears inside the house and bites her.

Unlike Francis Ford Coppola, who revealed a surprising enthusiasm for horrific vampire tricks in Bram Stoker's Dracula, Mr. Nichols shows no great gusto for the supernatural ... there are admirable performances from Mr. Spader, still turning the business of being despicable into a fine art, and Kate Nelligan, as Will's deceptively brisk and efficient wife ... Ms. Pfeiffer's role is underwritten, but her performance is expert enough to make even diffidence compelling.

During this time, Marlene seemed to come under the power of Dracula and scarred her face to resemble Rachel's facial scars.

*" The Curse of Dracula " revolved around the notion that after 600 years, Dracula was getting tired of immortality and, in pursuit of the love of a beautiful woman, sought mortality so that he could live out his days with her.

* There are also a few scenes in Seasons 1 and 2 as well as The Batman vs Dracula film where Batman / Bruce is being hunted down and then cornered by the GCPD's SWAT Team in an abandoned building.

Although Carmilla is a lesser known and far shorter Gothic vampire story than the generally-considered master work of that genre, Dracula, the latter is heavily influenced by Le Fanu's short story.

In the earliest manuscript of Dracula, dated 8 March 1890, the castle is set in Styria, although the setting was changed to Transylvania six days later.

The imagery of Halloween is derived from many sources, including national customs, works of Gothic and horror literature ( such as the novels Frankenstein and Dracula ) and classic horror films ( such as Frankenstein and The Mummy ).

In addition to its unique architecture, the castle is famous because of persistent myths that it was once the home of Vlad III Dracula.

In the English-speaking world, Vlad is best known for the exceedingly cruel punishments he imposed during his reign and for serving as the primary inspiration for the vampire main character in Bram Stoker's 1897 novel Dracula.

Transylvania is often associated with vampires ( chiefly due to Bram Stoker's novel Dracula and its film adaptations ) and the horror genre in general, while the region is also known for the scenic beauty of its Carpathian landscape and its rich history.

Bram Stoker considered using the title The Un-Dead for his novel Dracula ( 1897 ), and use of the term in the novel is mostly responsible for the modern sense of the word.

While even folkloric vampires of the Balkans and Eastern Europe had a wide range of appearance ranging from nearly human to bloated rotting corpses, it was interpretation of the vampire by the Christian Church and the success of vampire literature, namely John Polidori's 1819 novella The Vampyre that established the archetype of charismatic and sophisticated vampire ; it is arguably the most influential vampire work of the early 19th century, inspiring such works as Varney the Vampire and eventually Dracula.

However, it is Bram Stoker's 1897 novel Dracula that is remembered as the quintessential vampire novel and which provided the basis of modern vampire fiction.
