# Dream Warriors – " Man Smart, Woman Smarter "

Wesley Earl " Wes " Craven ( born August 2, 1939 ) is an American film director, writer, producer, actor, perhaps best known as the director of many horror films, particularly slasher films, including the famed A Nightmare on Elm Street, Wes Craven's New Nightmare, and he also co-wrote A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors with Bruce Wagner, featuring the iconic Freddy Krueger character and has directed the entire Scream series, featuring Ghostface.

Dream Warriors were a Canadian hip hop duo from Toronto, Ontario, comprising King Lou and Capital Q.

King Lou ( Louis Robinson ) and Capital Q ( Frank Allert ) formed Dream Warriors in 1988, hailing from the Jane and Finch and Willowdale neighbourhoods of Toronto.

For their 1994 follow-up, Subliminal Simulation, Dream Warriors added rapper Spek ( Hussain Yoosuf ) and DJ Luv ( formerly L. A. Luv ; Phillip Gayle ), turning the duo into a four-man group.

Also of this period was Toronto-based Dream Warriors ' 1991 release And Now the Legacy Begins ( 4th & B ' way ).

The original film was written and directed by Craven, who returned to co-script the second sequel, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors ( 1987 ), and to write and direct New Nightmare ( 1994 ).

Also in 2010, NECA released a 10 " puppet of Freddy Krueger from Phillip's death scene in A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, a metal replica of his glove, and two action figures: Freddy before he was burned and the other being him after the burning, including two interchangeable heads.

From among those films, Dream Warriors and The Dream Master were particular influences on the gameplay of each.

Also, Dream Warrior icons appear that, once collected by any player, permit transformation into one of three " Dream Warriors ".

Freddy assumes the role of " boss monster " and transforms into a snake, much like his appearance in A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors.

After a hiatus, Craven was brought back in Wes Craven's New Nightmare by Wes Craven, who had not worked on the film series since the third film, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors.

Following her first major film role in A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, she has appeared in films such as True Romance, Ed Wood, Lost Highway, Stigmata and Holes.

In 1987, Arquette's first starring roles were as pregnant teenager Stacy in television film Daddy, boarding school student Zero in Pretty Smart, and the attention-getting Kristen Parker in A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors.

He reprised his role in A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors ( 1987 ) and Wes Craven's New Nightmare ( 1994 ) as he played himself in a dual role.

He received a Saturn Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors in 1987 and A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master in 1988.

She continued her role as Nancy in A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors ( 1987 ), in which she co-starred alongside Patricia Arquette and Laurence Fishburne, and Wes Craven's New Nightmare ( 1994 ), in which she played herself, and through events in the narrative, she is compelled to reprise her role as Nancy Thompson.

John Saxon also returned with Langenkamp in Dream Warriors and New Nightmare.

The single, " Don't Dream It's Over ", was released in December 1986 and reached number one on the New Zealand Singles Chart and number eight in Australia.

In 1999, progressive metal band Dream Theater released Metropolis Pt.

In 1981 a group called The Mean Machine released a 12 " single on Sugar Hill Records called " Disco Dream " which was the first rap record to emphasize Spanglish.

Murphy stayed on for two more albums, Lost in a Dream and This Time We Mean It, before Cronin returned to the fold in January 1976 and recorded R. E. O., which was released that same year.

In addition, a 179-minute " European cut " was released on laserdisc ( letterboxed ) in Japan, accompanied by a 58-minute featurette shot in Tokyo entitled Dream Island by Sean Naughton, who had worked with Wenders on the HD sequences in Until the End of the World.

Although the group has released numerous studio and live recordings, a substantial number of their fans were introduced to Tangerine Dream by their film soundtracks, which total over sixty and include Sorcerer, Thief, The Keep, Risky Business, Firestarter, Legend, Near Dark, Shy People, and Miracle Mile.

Jerome Froese released a number of singles as TDJ Rome that are similar to his work within the Dream Mixes series ; in 2005 he released his first solo album Neptunes.

After the Synchronicity tour ended in March 1984, the band went on hiatus while Sting recorded and toured in support of his successful solo debut LP, the jazz-influenced The Dream of the Blue Turtles, released in June 1985, Copeland recorded and filmed The Rhythmatist ( 1985 ) and Summers recorded another album with Robert Fripp ( Bewitched, 1984 ) and the theme song for the film 2010.

Titled 4: 13 Dream, the album was released in October 2008.

" He went on to say that he regretted not having released 4: 13 Dream as a double album as originally intended, but had been " worn down by the fucking idiots around me at the time ".

This concert was released on the Dream Theater CD / DVD Score.

The same song was later covered in 2009 by American progressive metal band Dream Theater, released only on a 3-disc special edition of their album Black Clouds & Silver Linings.

The heavy metal band The Sword has also released a song called " Astraea's Dream " in their 2010 album Warp Riders.

Monk's Dream, his earliest Columbia album, was released in 1963.

Also in 2006 Phil released a vocal album, Dream Again.

A film adaptation of Last Exit to Brooklyn, directed by Uli Edel, was made in 1989, while Selby's 1978 novel Requiem for a Dream was made into a film released in 2000.

Also in 1986, Royal Music released Rehearsal For Reality ( also known as Rehearsal 4 Reality ), a compilation album that included some previously released songs, but also six new songs, including three instrumentals, and " More than a Dream " written by British poet Steve Scott.

During this time, he also released a video follow up to Spinal Tap, played the villainous Mr. Dittmeyer in The Brady Bunch Movie, and played the boss Gibby in the HBO series Dream On.

The two binaural recordings were made available to the Leopold Stokowski Society and both have now been released on CD: Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries on Cala Records CACD0549 and the ' Scherzo ' from Mendelssohn's Midsummer Night's Dream on Cala Records CACD0551.

The group achieved international success in 1987 when they released the single " Don't Dream It's Over " written by Neil.

That footage, which showed the band rehearsing and recording songs for the album, was later edited together and released on the DVD, The Making of Mr. Buechner's Dream

The album would mark the last full time studio album appearance of founding member Gregg Rolie, and his penultimate recording with the band: his final contributions would appear on Dream, After Dream, a soundtrack album to the Japanese film of the same name, which would also be released in 1980.
