Drusilla was named in honor of the Roman Empress Livia Drusilla or her late son the Roman General Nero Claudius Drusus.

Tiberius named his eldest son after his brother ( a departure from Roman naming convention ), and Drusus did likewise.

It was inhabited by the Raetian Isarci people and the Romans built a settlement there after the area was conquered in 15 BC by general Nero Claudius Drusus, after whom the settlement Pons Drusi (" Drusus Bridge ") was named.

He was born shortly after Livia divorced Tiberius Nero and married Augustus ( 17 January, 38 BC ), giving rise to rumours that Augustus was the real father, although this is widely discredited by modern historians as Augustus had not yet met Livia when Drusus would have been conceived ( During his reign, Claudius revived this rumor to give the impression that Augustus was his paternal grandfather in addition to being his maternal great-uncle ).

Drusus died soon after in consequence of a fall from a horse, lingering on for a month after the accident, by which point Tiberius had joined him.

Even after the deaths of Gaius and Lucius, and the banishment of Postumus Agrippa, Augustus did not adopt Drusus ' sons, Germanicus and Claudius.

Drusus died in June 9 BC in Germany, due to complications from injuries he sustained after falling from a horse.

Many other young Roman aristocrats lost their lives in the battle or committed suicide after the defeat, including the son of great orator Hortensius, and Marcus Porcius Cato ( the son of Cato the younger ), and Marcus Livius Drusus Claudianus ( the father of Livia, who became Octavian ’ s wife ).

Drusus campaigned against those Germans along the lower Rhine, and after devastating the lands west and north of the Rhine he won over ( or defeated or intimidated ) the Frisians.

Upon learning of his death, Apicata committed suicide ( October 26 ) after addressing a letter to Tiberius claiming that Drusus had been poisoned with the complicity of Livilla.

D .) was the only daughter of Nero Claudius Drusus and Antonia Minor and elder sister of the Roman Emperor Claudius and younger sister of the general Germanicus, and thus the paternal aunt of the emperor Caligula and maternal great-aunt of emperor Nero.

Marcus Scribonius Libo Drusus († September 13, 16 ) was a younger son of the consul Lucius Scribonius Libo by his wife who was a member of the gens Sulpicius, the family that the Roman Emperor Galba, had descended from his paternal side.
