UMass Boston, known by their nickname: the Beacons, has teams competing in the ECAC, the Little East Conference, and ECAC East Ice Hockey.

ECAC has been recognized as a CTC ( Cirrus training center ).

The team has been ECAC champions since 1996.

Located in the northeastern United States, the ECAC Hockey has changed to meet the needs of the exploding collegiate sport as 24 teams have called ECAC Hockey home since the first regional championship was contested in 1984.

The Men's program has produced twenty-eight All-American players, seven ECAC tournament MVPs, six ECAC players of the year, four ECAC rookies of the year, and seven Hobey Baker Memorial Award finalists.

West Chester University's football program has won 20 PSAC East championships ( 1960, 1961, 1963, 1966, 1967, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1986, 1987, 1989, 1992, 1994, 1999, 2004, 2007, 2008 ), has appeared in the NCAA Division II playoffs 9 times ( 5-9 record ) ( 1988, 1989, 1992, 1994, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 ), and was the ECAC team of the year in 2006 and 2007.

The arena has been the site of many collegiate tournaments, including the inaugural 1980 Big East Conference men's basketball tournament ; several ECAC basketball tournaments ; NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament first-and second-round games in 1976, 1979 – 1981, 1989, 1996 and 2010 ; the 1978 and 1985 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament regional finals ; the inaugural 1985 Hockey East Tournament as well as the second tournament a year later in 1986 before the tourney made Boston a permanent home ; and the 1978, 1980, 1982, 1986, 1995 and 2000 NCAA Frozen Four ice hockey championships.

The Yale course has been the site of every significant state championship, two USGA Junior National events, the 1991 and 2004 NCAA Eastern Regional championships ( in 2004 only 3 players in the field finished below par after 54 holes of play ), the 1991 ECAC Men's Championship, and the 1992 ECAC Women's Championship, as well as the Nike Connecticut Open.

* Women's Basketball has recently found success under former head coach Peg Kauffman, earning multiple conference playoff berths and winning the ECAC Southern tournament in 2002-03.

Under Fred Turoff, the men's gymnastics team has won 12 ECAC / EIGL championships.

The men's ice hockey team has a historic rivalry with Boston University, but, since BU left what became the ECAC Hockey conference to join Hockey East, this rivalry has been overshadowed by the more contemporary one with Harvard University, which was highlighted in the 1970 novel Love Story and its film adaptation.

The men's ice hockey team has been NCAA champion twice, ECAC champion 12 times and Ivy League champion 20 times, and recorded the only undefeated season in NCAA Division I Hockey history in 1970.

Dartmouth's athletic teams compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association ( NCAA ) Division I eight-member Ivy League conference ; some teams also participate in the Eastern College Athletic Conference ( ECAC ).

The majority of sports compete in the Little East Conference ; wrestling competes as an independent Division III team, men's and women's ice hockey compete in the ECAC East.

Higgins earned ECAC Player of the Year ( co-recipient with Cornell Big Red goaltender David LeNeveu ) and First All-Star Team honors ; he was also recognized regionally on the NCAA East All-American Team.

The sobriquet " IC4A " only applies to NCAA Division I competition ; men's cross country and track competitions hosted by the ECAC for Division II or III are referred to as ECAC meets.

He earned Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference ( CACC ) Player of the Year accolades as well as ECAC Division II Player of the Year honors, and was a seven-time CACC Player of the Week selection.

LIU Post is a Division II school that is governed by the National Collegiate Athletic Association ( NCAA ), the Eastern College Athletic Conference ( ECAC ), the East Coast Conference ( ECC ), and the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference ( PSAC ).

Students participate in NCAA Division II athletics in the PSAC and the ECAC.

St. John Fisher College competes at the NCAA Division III level, and is a member of the Eastern College Athletic Conference ( ECAC ) and the Empire 8.

Keuka College is a member of the NCAA ( Division III ) ECAC and North Eastern Athletic Conference ( NEAC ).

The college competes in NCAA Division III in the State University of New York Athletic Conference for most sports-women's ice hockey plays in the ECAC West, football plays in the New Jersey Athletic Conference and wrestling competes in the Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference, as those sports are not offered by the SUNYAC.

The Castleton State Spartans compete in 20 NCAA Division III Varsity sports in the North Atlantic Conference and the Eastern College Athletic Conference ( ECAC ).

SUNYIT, known athletically as the Wildcats, is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association ( NCAA ) Division III, the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference ( ECAC ), and the North Eastern Athletic Conference ( NEAC ).

Bethany is NCAA Division III recognized and is a member of the Presidents ' Athletic Conference ( PAC ) as well as the Eastern College Athletic Conference ( ECAC ).

They compete at the NCAA Division III Level, BSU also are members of ECAC, MASCAC, Little East, and the NEFC.

After advancing to the NCAA Division III Tournament in 1999 and 2000, Bridgewater State hosted the 2011 ( ECAC ) Eastern College Athletic Conference Northeast Bowl and competed against Alfred University at Swenson Field.

“ In 2007-2008, Bridgett guided the Bears to a 22-5 (. 815 ) record and the program's first appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament since the 1985-86 season .” The woman ’ s basketball team competes in the ( ECAC ) Eastern College Athletic Conference and the ( MASCAC ) Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference.

Manhattanville is a member of NCAA Division III, competing primarily in the Freedom Conference within the Middle Atlantic Conferences as well as in the ECAC West Conference ( men's hockey ) and ECAC East Conference ( women's hockey ).

Gordon College's varsity sports compete in the NCAA Division III, primarily in the Commonwealth Coast Conference ( TCCC ) and the Eastern College Athletic Conference ( ECAC ).

In November 2008, the Plymouth Women's Volleyball team upset Colby-Sawyer College to claim the 2008 ECAC Division III New England Volleyball championship.

The teams have affiliations with NCAA Division III, ECAC and are part of the Colonial States Athletic Conference ( CSAC ).

Albright's football team was ranked # 24 in the country in the 2008 USA Today Division III preseason poll and followed this accolade by sharing a MAC Championship and winning the ECAC Bowl Championship.

Union College belongs to the Liberty League, ECAC Hockey, the Annapolis Group, the Oberlin Group, the Consortium of Liberal Arts Colleges ( CLAC ), and the New York Six Consortium.

* Collegiate ( NCAA Division I, women's ) – March 10, 1996: In the ECAC women's championship game, New Hampshire defeated Providence 3 – 2 in the 5th overtime, after 145: 35 minutes of play.

More boating clubs and races followed, and soon many colleges ( both local and abroad ) held regattas, such as the New England Rowing Championships, the ECAC National Invitational Championship, the Eastern Sprints, the Big East Championship and the Patriot League Championship on the lake.

The other conferences include Conference Carolinas, New England Collegiate Conference, the North East Collegiate Volleyball Association ( NECVA ), and the Eastern College Athletic Conference ( ECAC ).

ECAC also offers helicopter training in two Robinson R44 helicopters.
