The district includes the Town of Drumheller and the city of Camrose, along with the counties of Acadia, Wheatland, Kneehill, Starland, Stettler, Paintearth, Camrose and Special Areas 2, 3 and 4.

It covers Kneehill County and most of Mountain View County.

It was the first village to be incorporated in Kneehill County.

A separate bridge was built over Rosedale Valley west of the Castle Frank Subway Station at the west end of the Bloor – Danforth Viaduct.

The Southern Railroad of Long Island ( now Long Island Rail Road ) was built and the whole area ( today Laurelton, Rosedale, and Springfield Gardens ) was served by Laurelton Station.

After leaving the station northbound on the Yonge-University-Spadina line and crossing under Church Street in a tunnel, the line emerges to the surface at the Ellis Portal, mostly in an open cut, for some 800 metres going through Rosedale Station.

Like Rosedale Station, the next station to the south, it is currently among the less used stations, with only average weekday ridership.

The township comprises the communities of Black River, Bonville, Bush Glen, Bunker Hill, Churchill Heights, Dixon, Gallingertown, Harrisons Corners, Ingleside, Lakeview Heights, Critesdale, Long Sault, Lunenburg, Newington, North Lunenburg, North Valley, Northfield, Northfield Station, Osnabruck Centre, Pleasant Valley, Rosedale Terrace, St. Andrews, Sandfield Mills and Sandtown.

The county is divided into forty-eight townships: Banner, Beaver Creek, Black, Brunson, Bull Creek, Carter, Colome, Condon, Curlew, Dog Ear, Elliston, Greenwood, Holsclaw, Huggins, Ideal, Irwin, Jordan, Keyapaha, King, Lake, Lamro, Lincoln, Lone Star, Lone Tree, McNeely, Millboro, Pahapesto, Plainview, Pleasant Valley, Pleasant View, Progressive, Rames, Rosedale, Roseland, Star Prairie, Star Valley, Stewart, Sully, Taylor, Valley, Weaver, Willow Creek, Wilson, Witten, Wortman, and Wright ; and one area of unorganized territory: Gassman.

Rosedale is located near the southern border of the county, about from the county seat of Rockville, and less than south of Big Raccoon Creek.

The riding consists of the neighbourhoods of, Cherry Heights, Homeside, Normanhurst, McQuesten, Glenview, Rosedale, Red Hill, Vincent, Gershome, Greenford, Corman, Kentley, Riverdale, Parkview West, Parkview East, Nashdale, Lake Grayside and the eastern half of The Delta in the former City of Hamilton plus the part of the former City of Stoney Creek north of the Niagara Escarpment including the " Old Town ", Fruitland and Winona.

Its county seats are Rosedale and Cleveland.

Several major shopping centers are in Roseville, including Rosedale Center and the Har Mar Mall.

Communities bordering Valley Stream are Elmont ( Home of Belmont Park Racetrack ), Lynbrook, Malverne, Franklin Square, Hewlett, Woodmere, and Rosedale ( a neighborhood in Queens in New York City ).

Mary Jarvis, whose frequent walks and horseback rides blazed the trails for Rosedale's meandering streets ( which are one of the area's trademarks ), named Rosedale as a tribute to the abundance of wild roses that graced the hillsides of the Jarvis estate.

The last four lines of the yell are essentially the chorus of Godiva's Hymn, and were first added on November 25, 1905, during the procession from Rosedale Field to the King Edward Hotel following a victory of the Toronto Varsity Blues rugby team over the Ottawa Rough Riders.

The conference headquarters, Rosedale Bible College, Choice Books ' distribution center, and the offices of Rosedale Mennonite Missions are all located in Rosedale, Ohio, a rural crossroads about 30 miles west of Columbus, Ohio.

Rosedale was the first cemetery in Los Angeles open to all races and creeds, and was the first to adopt the concept of the new approach of design called lawn cemeteries, where the grounds are enhanced to surround the burial places of the dead with beautiful and decorative trees, shrubs, flowers, natural scenery and works of monumental art.

She and McLean live in the Rosedale neighbourhood of Toronto and are the owners of the Closson Chase winery in Prince Edward County.

Deer Park is a neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, centred on the intersection of Yonge Street and St. Clair Avenue ; its boundaries are the Vale of Avoca section of Rosedale ravine in the east, Farnham Avenue and Jackes Avenue in the south, Avenue Road and Oriole Parkway in the west, the Belt Line trail in the north on the west side of Yonge Street, and Glen Elm Avenue in the north on the east side of Yonge Street.

Notable institutions located in Lawrence Park are Crescent School, Toronto French School, the Rosedale Golf Club, and The Granite Club.

Such " streetcar corner " nodes are located at Virginia at North Highland — the neighborhood's namesake and main shopping and dining area, well known since the 1990s for its restaurants, St. Charles at North Highland, Amsterdam at North Highland, and Virginia at Rosedale Drive.

Several other papers came and went ; as of 1912, there were several newspapers in the county: the Republican, the Tribune, the Montezuma Enterprise, and the Bloomingdale World, as well as papers printed in Rosedale and Marshall.

The racial makeup of Rosedale was 11, 695 ( 83. 2 %) White, 208 ( 1. 5 %) African American, 159 ( 1. 1 %) Native American, 389 ( 2. 8 %) Asian, 24 ( 0. 2 %) Pacific Islander, 997 ( 7. 1 %) from other races, and 586 ( 4. 2 %) from two or more races.

In 1999 Robert Fulford compared Forest Hill to Rosedale, the other traditional home of Toronto's elite: " While Rosedale has remained stable for half a century, Forest Hill's prestige has been growing steadily.

MacDonald ran as the NDP candidate in Toronto Centre — Rosedale in the 1997 election ; in the previous election, he was the PC incumbent, and like every other PC candidate in Ontario in 1993, was defeated.

Rosedale has convoluted routes through the neighbourhood and other physical boundaries, and thus it has low levels of vehicular traffic.

Canada's other wealthy neighbourhoods include Rosedale, the Bridle Path, Forest Hill, and in Westmount.

The neighborhood acquired its name after 1886, when President Grover Cleveland purchased a stone farmhouse directly opposite Rosedale and remodeled it into a Queen Anne style summer estate called Oak View or Oak Hill ( by other accounts, Red Top ).

Roddin became the boxing coach at the American Legion in Rosedale, Long Island, New York and taught his nephew Harold ( Sonny ) and many other boys the finer points of boxing.

In 2002, the Rosedale grounds were placed in a public conservancy, and the farmhouse, said to be the oldest house in Washington, returned to residential use.

Three similarly named shopping centers were also opened in the Twin Cities area: Brookdale Center ( opened 1962 ) in Brooklyn Center, Rosedale Center ( opened 1969 ) in Roseville, and Ridgedale Center ( opened 1974 ) in Minnetonka.

Portions of it were distributed among Trinity — Spadina, St. Paul's, Toronto Centre — Rosedale and Eglinton — Lawrence.

The proceeds from the sale of the Bloor Street site were used to acquire the land in Rosedale.
