Brown, Joe E. Lewis, Ray Bolger, Lucille Ball, Glenn Miller, Martha Raye, Mickey Rooney, Betty Hutton, Dinah Shore, and most famously, Bob Hope.

Shelly, with Andy Hill also wrote the song " I'll See You Again " for the Westlife album Where We Are.

Dunn also performed on recordings with The Blues Brothers, Muddy Waters, Freddie King, Isaac Hayes, Levon Helm, Neil Young, Jerry Lee Lewis, Eric Clapton, Tom Petty, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Wilson Pickett, Guy Sebastian, Rod Stewart, Bob Dylan, Roy Buchanan, Steely Dan, Tinsley Ellis and Arthur Conley.

Some of the best-known players to play for the Raiders include Rob Stewart, Dave Whistle and Mike Ellis, all of whom went on to play and coach at the highest levels in the UK.

A 1997 United States Supreme Court decision involved such riparian rights around nearby Ellis Island.

It was a literary club, made up of some of the best minds in Cincinnati, including future Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Salmon P. Chase ; Judge James Hall, who was editor of Western Monthly Magazine ; and the couple Calvin Ellis Stowe and Eliza Tyler Stowe.

In 1998, the south side of Ellis Island came under the jurisdiction of New Jersey following a US Supreme Court decision.

A bridge built for transporting materials and personnel during restoration projects connects Ellis Island with Liberty State Park, but is not open to the public.

On October 15, 1965, Ellis Island was proclaimed a part of Statue of Liberty National Monument.

He also served on the boards of the Architectural League of New York, Lenox Hill Hospital, Columbia University ’ s Master of Sciences Program in Real Estate Development, the Parsons School of Design, and the Friends of the Upper East Side Historic District, and was the co-chairman of the Architectural Committee of the Statue of Liberty / Ellis Island Centennial Commission.

Ellis Island and Liberty Island, opposite Liberty State Park, lie entirely within Hudson County's waters, which extend to the New York state line.

From the park, ferries travel to both Ellis Island and the Immigration Museum and Liberty Island, site of The Statue of Liberty.

On May 18, 1986, The Hooters participated in “ America Rocks ”, the concert portion of the 1986 Kodak Liberty Ride Festival that celebrated the restoration of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.

It became part of the National Register of Historic Places site Statue of Liberty National Monument, Ellis Island and Liberty Island in 1966.
