* Emu Park, Queensland, 680 km NW of Brisbane, near Yeppoon and Great Keppel Island

The islands are positioned in Keppel Bay, off the coast of Yeppoon and Emu Park on the Capricorn Coast.

Popular attractions include Riverbank Parklands, a riverfront parkland attraction located on the banks of Fitzroy River ; the Capricorn Coast, the coastal strip between Yeppoon and Emu Park and Great Keppel Island, a large neighbouring island off the Capricorn Coast, the vast majority of which is national park.

Commuter and goods transport improved immensely with the connection of a branch line from Sleiper Junction ( siding on the Emu Park line ) in 1910.

Yeppoon and Emu Park were joined by road in 1939 with the completion of the Scenic Highway.

Approximately 20 kilometres south is the next largest town Emu Park with a population of 2, 788 in 2006.

Yeppoon and Emu Park are joined by the Scenic Highway which hugs a coastline dotted with coves and beaches and headlands.

Towns, suburbs, and localities in the central section of the Capricorn Coast are: Adelaide Park, Bangalee, Barlows Hill, Bluff Rock, Bondoola, Capricorn Coast National Park, Causeway Lake, Cooee Bay, Creek Rock, Emu Park, Hidden Valley, Kemp Beach, Keppel Bay Estate, Kinka Beach, Lammermoor, Meikleville Hill, Mercure Capricorn Resort, Mulambin, Mulambin Waters, Ocean View, Pacific Heights, Rosslyn, Statue Bay, Taranganba, Taroomball, Yeppoon, Wreck Point, Zilzie.

Dotted along the way are a dozen seaside communities, and the major towns of Yeppoon and Emu Park.

Across the bridge, is Kinka Beach, and then Emu Park and Zilzie.

The Government Surveyor reported the site as " Yapoon, a spot northward of Emu Park about nine miles, was most suitable as a watering place.

The new town of Emu Park was taking form with the completion of the first coastal railway from Rockhampton in 1889.

Even at this early stage of Capricorn Coast history, Emu Park and Yeppoon shared an odd rivalry, with Emu Park attracting the more elite section of Rockhampton and Mount Morgan society, while the " common man ", especially gold miners from Cawarral and Mount Chalmers gravitated towards Yeppoon.

With Emu Park separated from Yeppoon by the expansive Causeway Lake and the shifting dunes of Kinka, that sense of separateness between the two seaside towns continued for another fifty years until a permanent tide-proof causeway was finally constructed to join the two ends of the coast.

That separate history however, allowed Emu Park and Yeppoon to develop distinct personalities that are still apparent today.

From the time of its inception, Emu Park was the hedonistic playground of the Rockhampton social set and well-heeled gold miners from Mount Morgan, who used their considerable influence to lobby the Queensland Government for a rail link to the fledgling seaside town.

During the 1960s, the Emu Park rail line was progressively decommissioned, however the original building at Nankin still stands.

The Emu Park Museum also houses many historical relics of the rail line that helped make the remote southern communities of the Capricorn Coast more accessible to the public.

The Queensland Ambulance Service has manned stations in Emu Park and Yeppoon.

Parks: Some popular parks are Bagh Ibne Qasim, Boat Basin Park, Mazar-e-Quaid, Karachi Zoo, Hill Park, Safari Park, Bagh-e-Jinnah, PAF Museum Park, Maritime Museum Park, Aziz Bhatti Park and Jheel Park.

Wyandotte's Bishop Park used to have a dock to board the Boblo Boat ferry to Boblo Island.

* During the making of Steve McQueen's final movie The Hunter, scenes of the river house were filmed at the junction of the Kankakee and Iroquois rivers, on the southern edge of Aroma Park, just north of the Aroma Park Boat Club.

* The Brevent Park and Leonardo Fire Company is the owner of a Marine Fire Boat that can be requested throughout the Bayshore community for scenes on the water involving Fire and Water Rescue

The Monmouth Boat Club, Marine Park, and the slips of the Molly Pitcher Inn provide access to the Navesink and, from there, Sandy Hook and the Gateway National Recreation Area, the Jersey Shore and the Atlantic Ocean.

A short drive on the Robert Moses Causeway affords access to good fishing at the Captree Boat Basin and swimming at the Robert Moses State Park.

This expansion incorporated the Cheatham County Industrial Park, which includes Triton Boat as well as barge building operations, paper products, and concrete manufacturers along the Cumberland River.

Loch Garten ( Scots Gaelic: Loch a ' Ghartain ) is a large Highland freshwater loch near Boat of Garten, in the Strathspey area of the Cairngorms National Park, in Scotland.

A smaller Mazu temple exists in the Treasure Boat Shipyard Park, located at the site of the Longjiang Shipyard where Zheng He's treasure ships were built.

Residents and visitors stroll along Skaneateles ’ pier, just off Clift Park in the village of Skaneateles, for the best view of antique boats during Skaneateles ’ annual Antique and Classic Boat Show.

In Prospect Park, Brooklyn, a Camperdown Elm planted in 1872 near the Boat House has developed into a picturesque weatherbeaten specimen, no more than four metres high, like an oversized bonsai.

The oldest ride of this type still in operation is the Boat Chute, constructed in 1926 and 1927 located at Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement Park in Chattanooga Tennessee.

The oldest model boat club in the world, the Victoria Model Steam Boat Club, founded in the Park on 15 July 1904, is still active today and holds up to 17 of their Sunday regattas a year.

* Sand Ramp Trail, a hiking trail within the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve which skirts the east and north of the dune field.

Ramp meters were installed along Interstate 435 in Overland Park, Kansas and Kansas City, Missouri in 2009, and are scheduled to go into effect on November 24, 2009.

* The town of Cosby, Tennessee, bordering Great Smoky Mountains National Park, has held the largest and one of the oldest ramp festivals in the United States, the " Cosby Ramp Festival ," on the first weekend in May since 1954.

* Mason Dixon Park, located on the border of West Virginia and Pennsylvania near Interstate 79, hosts the annual " Mason-Dixon Ramp Festival ", typically on the third weekend in April.

The Galveston County Department of Parks and Senior Services operates the Bolivar Community Center, 1802 Madison Avenue and the Fort Travis Seashore Park at 900 State Highway 87, and the Pilsner Boat Ramp.

The Denbigh Park Boat Ramp ( also known simply as Denbigh Park ) is a park located in the Denbigh area of Newport News, Virginia, USA.

Recreational facilities include Holmesburg Recreation Center at Rhawn and Ditman Streets, James Ramp Memorial Playground, Pennypack Park and Pennypack on the Delaware.

There are many fishing spots along the river and canoe / boat launching facilities are located at the Werribee South Boat Ramp and Riverbend Historical Park.

Only the short portion from the Spur Ramp to the expressway's end in Highland Park does not carry I-94.
